Bloodthorn Causing Imbalances/Rifts

There are a total 18+ bloodthorn sets on Gwydion. Three potential sets if 3 more charms drop. What's more staggering is that 14 of those sets are used actively, and 10-12 are used daily.
It's common to see a group of 6-7 people with bloodthorn sets in DPS groups. We've witnessed a colossus increase in DPS with the sets that have came in this event, the poison hits hard, too hard on raids barring necro. Unfortunately the rival clan possesses only 4 bloodthorn sets where 2 are used daily. This makes our lock battles much easier, hence the rift created between poison and the other types.
Bloodthorn is still slightly and insignificantly better than its peers on tower bosses.
Poison damage has truly been ruined with the influx of poison based gear. This type of damage was supposed to be rare as it was the least resisted of all types.
Poison resistance came along with tower mobs which drastically lowered shadow strikes effectiveness and put up a barrier for poison as it was becoming way too OP. This was OTMs mistake for giving bloodthorn normal drop rates. Ideally we should have seen 3-4 from Garanak and the equivalent amount from Skain.
Now whenever I see another poison set completed, I feel great for the person receiving it as it will boost their DPS and reduce a clans kill time on bosses, but it's killing off poison in the long run. With the amount of sets out there it's no wonder that mobs will continue to have high poison resistance.
More damage can be pevented if NO MORE poison based gear is released.
Maybe it's truly about time to implement a brand new unresisted damage type, one not as common as poison.
