Has the old plate been discontinued?

Warriors are now the only people who can wear plate, however the old plate from before the update can still be worn by every character.
Has the old plate been discontinued as a drop now? If so, I know it isnt the least of your worries right now but it would be cool with a specialised name to distinguish it like 'Ancient Plate' or something like that!

Like collectors armor? We need a vault or house for our toon to store things like that!

I would love to see something like this where we can stash gear, or maybe even a Clan house to stash stuff where only the Clan members have access. I'm carrying around 200+ items at any given time (most is crap that I give out to newbies when I see them, but still!)!

Regular Plate still drops. I believe I got embossed plate gloves too. Haven't seen hammered plate

I have a question for you nasim. The embossed gloves that you got as a drop after the update, were they class restricted?

I know plate still drops but its class specific, I'm fairly sure the armour from before the update, the one that can be used by everyone has been discontinued.

Yes that is what I thought too... don't i wish I hadn't given away most of my duplicate pieces now, could have sold it for a pretty penny now!

They did say a lot of items wont drop after the update, if the old plate is one of them Id definitely want to make sure everyone knew I was wearing what will be the rarest armour in the game. It has the same name as the warrior specific plate so I still reckon it should have a nice name

Perhaps we could have our first rare and valuable piece of armor? They could make the name appear in purple (for rarity) and (as suggested before) change the name to Ancient Plate and etc.
