For dps i definately like the wolf a lot more than the horse for dps. But i have seen a lot of people saying that they will get horse when it is released. What are peoples reasons for this? Is it based on apearance? Or is the appeal for a str/dex dps crushing damage skill mount really that much more apealing to so many?

I think it's mainly because of the Str/Dex combo over the Dex/Foc. My gf's ranger will also drop her wolf and get a warmane asap.

90 str is such a small bonus, and crushing damage? Imo the wolf looks better too, the shading and colors on the horse seem rushed. I got a wolf for my mage as well, as the pierce damage skill seems like a nice bonus to a mages lack of physical damage.

True, crushing is worse than pierce and the colours are messed up. This was our first thought when we tried them in Beta, the T1/T2 and T3/T4 looks way too similar.

not sure why otm didn't just copy the previous horse template but then put bardings on them... Those horses were done really well, its a shame that the battle mount looks so rushed.

Where is the foc/vit mount?!?

It's a combination of appearance and lack of knowledge that crush isn't better than pierce as pierce lure is more common.

Mages should not waste pts into a crush lure just for battle mount skills that will rarely hit on raids. Since pierce lure is already there to multiply rogue and ranger damage then wolf skill will also be boosted WHEN it hits, which will be rare.

Where is the foc/vit mount?!?

Perfectly happy with the Foc/Defense Wolf. Mage being so vulnerable - I'm always looking to supplement his defenses. There is enough gear in existence to plus VIT. Balancing optimal VIT and FOC with DEFENSE is another thing.
