Energy costs? Someone in beta or admin please explain

Can someone please explain why all the skills cost sooo much energy now? What was the rational?
My main is a Mage that is a solo build so I had twice as much vit as focus and my rejuv ammy did a great job keeping up with all my fire use with a little extra to get the periodic ice shards in. Now I might as well not have the ammy. I had to completely change my build so I had enough e so now I run out right about the time I die because now I don't have enough hit points to compensate for the garbage armor a Mage has to wear. (I even toyed with an energy build with maxed out well and e shield. Boy was that a disaster with the new update)
I really don't get it please explain why it was necessary to mess with energy costs?

Yes my warrior single hand blunt build got screwed too.
Because now skills can miss, if I miss big swing(almost always) = i die
because I lose about 300-500 worth of dmg and cool off is slow.
Not sure if its meant to be like this but i do see lower lvls soloing just fine(same class two sword build).

I guess to make energy potions and energy sigils usefull ?
Pre Update you never ran out, so these items were useless.
Now its your opinion -> Get the skills maxed and buy platinum or left them on 15/25 and be cool

rejuv items were overpowered, imo, so they made the skills energy heavy to compensate.

Overpowered? To not run out of energy you need to spend 375k.. And for someone who can't buy gold with plat.. That will take a long ass time. I don't like the fact I run out of energy even with 30 focus as a warrior :/
Also off topic, why did we lose so much damage?!

If you are clever with your builds you can offset the energy demands by creating energy saving builds, using skills no higher than 18/19 and going a bit higher on focus than on VIT. But not insanely unless you have energy shield build, then it is an insanely much more focus.
The energy costs are excessive over a certain point, but it creates a tradeoff for using that much juice to fuel yer spells, you become dehydrated. My Rez spell for instance is costing me 560 energy to Rez up to lvl 115, that's INSANE but whatever, the Rez is awesome and it's worth it.
I think it takes time getting used to, but there are still worthwhile ways to play and manage the hunger lion that is energy now.

With 15 points invested in energy shield and 400 points invested into focus (leaving you with about 500 hp for a lvl 90 but thousands of energy) you should have enough energy to kill a couple one or two star mobs solo back to back without using pots. If you roll with this build you MUST be strategic with when you cast shield and its cool down or you will die fast. If you are spotted by more than one eye at the same time you will most likely die then unless someone takes a mob off your back. However, even with this insane amount of energy, a focus, and heroic ammy you WILL run out of energy if you don't take a breather in between mobs.

@Frostine: Uhm, preupdate I played a mage lvl 65. With heroic ammy and rejuv offhand and an energy built I'd run out of energy too after one mob. I had energy shield and boost maxed. I could use energy shield for one mob and had to wait until energy refills... is it any different now with the current mobs? As I haven't been playing mage in update theres little I can say to mage specific changes.
However, heroic ammy was way op in first place. I understand that newer players are very used to the rejuv items since they aren't used to playing without them. However, the OP items were the reason for idiot builds (excuse my language - but a 5 5 5 400 built is not extremely creative, yet everyone had it before update). Now you have to switch and check what Focus/Vit built works best.
As has been said many many times before, the 5 new abilities add a huge advantage. While you get 100% dmg now, you will get way less once those abilities are maxed.
For Warrior: I don't run out of focus... I mean in boss fights I mostly use taunt, bash, stance and an occasional dmg skill... but then again tanks aren't meant to be the big dmg dealers in boss fights. This way dmg deals are actually quite necessary. For solo walks I can't say anything as i have not tested it.
Druids: I lose about 50 percent energy per fight (with mobs giving me about 2600 xp... ima lvl 87 atm). I rarely die, just have to watch out that Im only aggroing one mob at a time. But thats nothing new (now other classes feel the druids pain

).

I'm simply going to wait until I get the new sacrifice skill dropped to me. This should fix any energy problems for mages and help A LOT. I plan on mainly having a pvp build, but I also want to invest in the lure that lowers pierce resistance for my clan. Then all the rogues and rangers will completely wreck bosses. I really can't wait until I get sacrifice because I do end up having to wait a lot for my energy to regen after fights.
