Druids
Can someone check on this?
Specifically,
The following skills are no longer interruptable at skill level 1:
Nature's Touch
Strangling Vines
???
Does that mean higher levels makes them interruptable again, or is Nature's Touch now totally uninterruptable???
Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#2Wouldn't use it at level one so who cares.
And yes, it's still interruptible.
And yes, it's still interruptible.

Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#4... It is uninterruptible at skill level 1. But when the skill points increase on natures touch, it does NOT increase the likeliness of it being interrupted. The interruption rate of skill level 2 natures touch is the same as 100/100 hypothetically. This patch only affects the first skill level, (not adding points into it, the basic or given point i to every skill).Druids

Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#6I have a ill dps Druid. He has 1 point in Nature's Touch. I need to test it more, but I am pretty sure he was interrupted casting it in the arena today.

Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#7Regarding Vines and Touch, I would say that it makes the game a little easier for a new player/character. Essentially, I think the level 1 no interruption factor is for these players. A new character may get these skills in the quest line, but still have them set at level 1 due to a few possibilities (don't know about skill points, invest in something else etc.).So wtf was that change for....
An alt Druid I started recently had level 1 Touch until about level 15, for example. (He is DPS leaning). If these new players aren't being interrupted fighting level 6 wolves etc., they may be prone to stay in the game longer and not give up due to frustration.
As for Wind, I am very happy. I have Wind at level 1, even though I am over 100. It is a nice skill, but I don't have points in it. Now that it is a certain cast (can still be rejected, mind you) it is easier to plan the beginning of a fight.

Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#8Thats exactly what I thought
Who would use it at level one anyway?
Except for, of course a level one, but not for long as they will probably figure out by the time they have enough skill points that NT and SV are some very effective spells.

#9LOL Dersu, I totally get the answer (and even agree with the Wind, as I still use it @ L1Regarding Vines and Touch, I would say that it makes the game a little easier for a new player/character. Re: UNinterruptable Nature's Touch????
#10It may be a smaller number than those who use a level 1 Wind or Calm, obviously, but I think it help the target audience a lot... ie. low level players.LOL Dersu, I totally get the answer (and even agree with the Wind, as I still use it @ L1), but really, how many players benefit from this change for Nature's Touch? How many druids out there, regardless of level and build, have L1 Touch...
One of the other changes, for example, was to change the exp reward for the Farmer's Chickens quest. Again, a very good thing for lower levels. The quest was a left over from the origin of the game, I believe. (I base this on the fact that the reward was Celtic blowhorns, which are only useful to players below level 5... no one starting the game now would complete that quest before level 5).
Again, I think it was a choice based on player retention. Hook new players without the frustration of interruption. That being said, you are right in that it is a limited window of usefulness. They should probably bump it up to level 3 or something.
