Dex is helpful for solo levelling, that's about its only useful iteration for mages

Its handy for autoing ghosts at necro as well.

I d'rather see them add just defence to mage items instead of dex(*hint)

Get a sheiks for armor so you take less damage i have seen the best PvP warriors lose to mages.

As a mage i hate saying this but its true.

Perfect pvp warrior > Perfect pvp mage

Mages are for sure 2nd best though.

A Druid who will respec for each adversary can beat anyone in pvp

50/50 chance the druid guesses the type of mage incorrectly if mage also re-alts

Try it yourself and then claim this. Pvp ice mage specced with freeze simply cannot lose, unless they are unlucky and evade multiple times. 3k+ shield, 15k+ hp, it's unbeatable.

They for sure can lose.

A tanky warrior(but with a dps offhand) is probably the best bet, but there's several options for combating a mage.

You could shield wall to block a hit

You could 1m mount freeze to gain time

You could stack resists to minimize their damage

If you can't get enough resist you can stack health

Also, don't forget mages have the worst armor in the game, so even if you use a shield a warrior with a decent weapon will still trash em. 15k+ hp would also make a mage do less dmg, a trade off that is probably not worth it.

I have 2 pvp warriors, used to have a pvp mage but discontinued it due to survivabilty issues.
