Maybe just something you high level mages pass over, but anyone know how/why our dmg can sometimes exceed the stated damage of spells?

On 1* same level mobs at least (latst ex 82* red eyes), I've noticed that my Firebolt can do 505 dmg (highest is 505) some times, which is 10 pts more than the stated dmg of the spell (495). This is with Fire Lure of course, but I thought Fire Lure "only" allows us the max possible dmg? Not exceed it?

And you aren't using any firebolt rings? the bonus points they provide aren't factored into the maximum damage shown on the skill page.

I have dia wand but that adds abilities ?
Have lesser wurm ring that adds 5 foc vit dex, but that is calculated in, I think. Also have 3 shadow armor adding 30 foc total. Again, I think that's added in stated calc numbers?
Have hp regen bracelet which shldnt do anything

P.s. I can do 507 dmg on 83* eyes, while stated is 497

Ask Marcus, he knows everything haha. But it may be possible that with the latest patch, the damage shown in the skill page is for no resistance and maybe if a lure is high enough to inflict negative resistance the max damage is higher than what is stated? otherwise I have no clue

how would you calculate the damage? it would have to be more than the stated one in skills page, thus the OP. interesting idea, although it would be much too complicated :ugeek:
