Hi fellow mages im just wondering if you can get a kill over a good dps class specially a hastin good rogues on bosses with high resistance specially on main bosses like hrungnir mordris and necro .. ik that it depends on diff bosses just wondering if a mage ever got a kill on this bosses

Yes. Hrungnir not too hard as long as there aren't any pro rogues there. Mainly comes down to lures, with a full dps build it is hard to get much more than a 1300 lure. Whereas having a separate lure mage present with a 1600+ fire lure makes a pretty big difference in your skill dmg. My mage has a couple hrungnir kills, with my own lure, over 220+ hasted rangers and rogues (one had edl bow and quiver). I haven't really bothered dpsing mordris or necro, their resistances are too high for mages to get kills on over any competent player. People may claim they're getting kills on them but none of them are legit kills lol

So many ppl on forums claim kills that arent legit mostly because they didnt kill adds, I wont be surprised to see ppl claiming non-legit kills here too, but I dont think a mage will get a kill on mordy or necro.

During hrung I only help finish off adds, never concentrate on them. Their shambling strike skill one hits me, so I just don't bother.

Except when hrung's shield is up.

By non legit kills, I am referring to A) lock group wiping or B) use of one of the multitude of glitches that basically guarantee a mord/necro kill

Never seen a Mage outdps a melee dps class on hrung, Mord or Necro. Gwydion doesn't exactly have the top class mages so that might be the problem, but a few are getting there.

I have many legitimate kills on Hrung and two legitimate kills on Mordy. Have some necro kills too but...

Lol rock, what was your fb hitting on mord? Must have been with a very high lure mage plus bad melee dps

I am ice with firebolt only as an extra dps skill. I'm not sure what my skills hit for but I just checked my lure and it's 1562 at level 50. We didn't have bad dps those two times by any means, but we were obviously missing our best rogues.
