Yes but the kid was a thug just like the Fergusson Missouri guy. I just wonder why is it whenever a black person is shot it makes the world headlines but a white person is murdered by a group of blacks and not a word is spoken. Its a shame :/ so many people die everyday yet we only care about the white vs black hate crimes. People are starving everyday yet we waste money on saving the world from global warming. I hate to bring politics into this but there are alot more bigger issues we face. Stupid things we waste time on in today's society. I really wish I was born in the 1950s or earlier

also, i believe a country is responsible for its own people before it is responsible for people in other countries. so to me, hate crime should be dealt with before global famines. that is the job of the international community

To me it doesn't matter what color race you are. You were an unarmed human being. No kid deserves to lay dying on a pavement black or white. Heck he was my age.

Doesnt mean he wasnt a bad kid. Black or white there are thugs out there and the justice system deemed te shooter innocent if people cant handle what came out of the courtroom speak to the Constitution. It may seem unfair but with insufficient evedence you can't just assume it was foul play

And Pigman im not a rascist. If you live where I live and see through my eyes you would know what I mean. Cleveland Ohio isnt the best city in the world. Honestly I know some great Blacks hell my best friend is black! And I know some terrible whites. In the end its what they do as a person that makes me think what I think. I know all about these types of cases because I am part of a debate class.

no you arent a racist, it was just a bit off to claim he was just a thug when in fact, he was a young black man in a country where as i said before, young black men are shot by police officers more ften than young white men.

Ok, there is a lot of media publicity about this case, and as such it is hard to see things through all of that. The fact is that the jury did set him free. Why? Because there was no evidence strong enough to convict him. As many of you know, a man is innocent until proven, beyond the shadow of a doubt, guilty. It honestly could be either way. Trayvon Martin may have been killed on purpose, he could have been killed because he was attacking the other man. However, the media makes it out to be a hate crime and a gross injustice of our legal system, when actually, it may not be. The media likes to take any confrontation between a black person and a white person and turn it into something huge. It is honestly really stupid as that only encourages those feelings and drives a wedge between us. The only difference between black people an white people is this thing called melanin. That is the stuff which determines how much color you have in your skin. However, we all bleed red. No one is better than another person, least of all because of their skin! This may sound insensitive, but as I said before, there was not enough evidence to convict Zimmerman. He could be innocent. He could be guilty. But in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty. And he has not been proven guilty. I really wish the media would drop the habit of trying suspects before they are actually put on trial. It just makes trouble.
