For dps I use
Max rapid, max light heal, max bolas, max double shot and rest in barbed
Steady and sharpen is rubbish because you need to constantly look out to cast so it won't run out...

and still have higher melee+both dl skills

Auto attack rangers are crap atm cause dmg is too low and there are not much str based skills. Thats why str rangers are forced to put points in dex based skills. Funny thing is.... im a auto attack ranger. Guess i've grown too used to it

More dex less str, works wonders for steady aim and sharpen weps

If you're trying to say that he should use other skills for str build then i'd love to see ur opinion on another skill for a str ranger cause EVERY skill other than double shot is dex based.

let me put it this way then, auto attack build is crap for those who dont have dl armor and full rad es set or some crazy dmg gear

drop rapid for longshot, or just about any other ranger skill... if you wanna be hasty, get the ring of haste at level 100...

also allows you to not waste lix $$$$ on haste lixs.

Heroic lixes yes, normal haste lixees are still available tho

your gonna need bolas for higher lvl bosses like the dl ones

I tried dex build and it is CRAP for dps. I tried everything and when I tried dps I was like ommigosh wow. I hit 500s with autos and 1300 with double shot. Longshot and sharp are dumb for training because the mob runs up to you and it takes forever to bolas and run and longshot. Slower progress. Is any ranger who says stre build is crap above my level?


I have royal and grand(+4) sharpen and it is not that bad at all btw. I never did so much dps as i ever seen me do with stre build. Longshot had trouble reaching 1k with dex build. Long cooldown and a lot of energy. Double shot is the strongest and loads faster. dual train with a ranger and you never die. (you both light heal you and yourself since one attracts aggro, which is me)

Well IMO, im really an auto attk ranger although I use double shot and longshot. Im mainly dex because of my quiver, but I increase my dmg as I go along, I have around 210 dex and 130 str but I keep my hp to a minumum and my energy as well
