Distract made rouge the most powerful dps, maybe we need some sort of skill like that.

Oh come on, rogues do NOT do most dmg.

Warrior- Best hp, best dmg, best armour
Mage- Best in energy, /casting spells
Druid- Best in healing others
Rogue- Best in SPEED
Ranger- 2nd best in dmg, 2nd best in spd

Ranger bows have the most damage BUT it is the SLOWEST weapons at 3000 speed.

Giant Swing, Ice Shards, and Sharp Shot all do more dmg than Sneaky Attack in general. (same lvl, ability...)

WinterKing weapons do not exist anymore! How many king's bows in your server? (mine 4 or 5)
You can't compare some bull unfathomable damage weapons that was once in the game, and not many poeple would have them.
Metrioric is the (ment to be) best weapons in the current up to date game so you can't bring something that become a collection to this current game play.

Say.. Lvl 90 rogue, warrior and ranger with 400 str and max abilities... Who do you think would win? Go test it on a rockbelly and come back to me on results.

It is okay for mages to deal more ice damage then any classes because they are casters! And they have long cool down and I agree.

For long term damage and ks advantage.. I have to say rogue is boss at both.
Did you even checked the 'online ranking'? Skills hit = melee.

I will stand for my fellow rangers if no one else will.

This is a tough one as far as balance goes... I believe rangers, iRL are faster than our bows allow for... In the movies, they can also accurately fire multiple arrows at one time, with accuracy. But too much of this, and the ranger becomes too powerful.

The thing that makes me hop on my ranger acct is the fact that I die less, with lower health...and that is because of the fact that I can do damage from a distance, and avoid (much of) the melee attacks, when I work hard enough. The problem with it, is that it requires me to run around a lot. What if the ranger could still fire arrows while running? Same speed... Same damage, but I don't have to stand still for the entire time my toon is loading and firing arrows. It might not help a lot with skill attacks, but would be great for avoiding more melee damage, and with a group, would help redirect agro to teammates closer to the boss.

Just a thought...

Rangers Advantages
Rangers can heal a bit (Rogues cant)
Rangers have ranged attack (Can hit the mobs much earlier)
Rangers have bolas (You can kill a Mob before its even TOUCHES you)

Both have same armour.

Do you think it would be fair if rangers, which have all this advantages i listet, would also be able to outdamage a equal rogue ?

Why should anybody than play a rogue ?

Solo - bolas (yay rangers win)
Healing - every class have healing skills
Dps - rogue win
Boss fights (rogue win, rangers will keeps getting own because of distract killed us)
Ksing - rogue win for speed
Pvp - wait and see

This is why every players have a rogue alts over ranger because ranger are slow and less effective 'overall'
Ranger only good for solo (with bolas). Boss fights.. Full group of rogues are most preferred!
Try having a full group of rogues vs a full group of rangers and see.
Hurt to say.. Rogues will unfathomable all over rangers

We need a bit more tweak.

Being able to auto attack while running will upgrade the ranger class significantly in game play and put us higher on par without shelling out a massive upgrade in skills or backlash from the community. Rangers just need to manage your dps- You won't out dps a rogue that's made for Boss battles and they will be able to ks you because they deal a bit more damage. Rangers may not be the best class for group PvE things like bossing. Rangers reign with solo and single mobs/ Single and Group PvP. We can attack from ranges and have bolas, Rogues don't.

Rangers are a pretty good mixed class- Definitely not top tier in everything but they aren't far behind.. And will reign in PvP if used correctly.

With the new update i believe Rangers strengths will increase greatly with a correct build- Stop trying to be like other classes.. Be a ranger.

I'm Pretty new here- This is just what ive noticed through my ranger, Having experience in top ten ranking in mutliple Mmorpgs for the past 10 years, Reading through all forum posts, And watching lvl 90's in my clan do boss battles. So i may be wrong.

Ok, I find this whole forum bs, sorry it's just my thoughts, I myself have made all the classes, lvl 77 warrior, lvl 77 rouge, lvl 87 RANGER, lvl 90 Druid, Mage is still low so don't matter.
I found that ranger does have something special.
1. It's easiest class I find to level up, Druid being te hardest(they don't complain)
2. It's easy to solo fights against bosses and other mobs while still maintaining a safe distance away unlike rest. (They don't complain)
3. We can train the hardest ablitilty quicker than any class, first aid, unlike ANY other class. (they don't complain)
4. Our bolas is a skill that works not only on all level monsters, but also lasts longer than grasping roots. (they don't complain)
5. We are a very independent class, all others rely on eachother. (they don't complain)
6. We only loose ks to rouge. All others get ksd multiple times like Druid. (they don't complain)

Those six reasons are VERY substantial to where I stand on this topic alone

Now to adress the comment of rouges having sneaky attack.
Yes they do have it, let's say a rouge casts and causes....eh....1k damage lets say
Look at the COOLDOWN.....forever
Now a ranger casts sharp shot....hits for 300 let's say.
Look at COOLDOWN, super quick....
Sooo you cast another
And another
And finnaly rouge might be able to cast again
You jus barely got beat by 100 points, not to bad in my eyes

So personally, I find this forum just a way of viewing the glass half empty.
Yes, rangers do seem a bit underprivileged, but that's cause that's how YOU choose to view them
