+1Ok, I find this whole forum bs, sorry it's just my thoughts, I myself have made all the classes, lvl 77 warrior, lvl 77 rouge, lvl 87 RANGER, lvl 90 Druid, Mage is still low so don't matter.
I found that ranger does have something special.
1. It's easiest class I find to level up, Druid being te hardest(they don't complain)
2. It's easy to solo fights against bosses and other mobs while still maintaining a safe distance away unlike rest. (They don't complain)
3. We can train the hardest ablitilty quicker than any class, first aid, unlike ANY other class. (they don't complain)
4. Our bolas is a skill that works not only on all level monsters, but also lasts longer than grasping roots. (they don't complain)
5. We are a very independent class, all others rely on eachother. (they don't complain)
6. We only loose ks to rouge. All others get ksd multiple times like Druid. (they don't complain)
Those six reasons are VERY substantial to where I stand on this topic alone
Now to adress the comment of rouges having sneaky attack.
Yes they do have it, let's say a rouge casts and causes....eh....1k damage lets say
Look at the COOLDOWN.....forever
Now a ranger casts sharp shot....hits for 300 let's say.
Look at COOLDOWN, super quick....
Sooo you cast another
And another
And finnaly rouge might be able to cast again
You jus barely got beat by 100 points, not to bad in my eyes
So personally, I find this forum just a way of viewing the glass half empty.
Yes, rangers do seem a bit underprivileged, but that's cause that's how YOU choose to view them

All i see is a bunch of rangers downgrading rangers abilities and acting like other classes are Gods. Wait until after the update and then see how much better the class is. All mechanics are being changed. What do you really want? To be able to out DPS a full strength max DPS rogue? To do more heals or equal to amount of heals than a pure healer druid? To "Out awesome" a mage..? To out tank a warrior? Get real, Go play another class if you can't appreciate your current one. Rangers will not be better than another class that is solely designed for one specific task. This is how it is for EVERY mmorpg. Rangers ARE second best at everything, But they arn't very behind from first at all. They are a jack of trades class that has more Pro's than other classes.
Why would anyone play a rogue if a long ranged- Solo ranger can Out DPS them in their only place they shine.
Rangers can live with a small upgrade to their class, Which i believe we will recieve in update 3. Because now were not the only class that has to juggle, And our new main stat (Dex) is Getting reworked and upgraded to.
So for your sake- Go re-Roll

What is important to note is that he is responding to something that was said by admin and beta testers regarding Update 3. If you read the thread link that Ninja provided (second post in this thread) you would see this as well as some other tid-bits:

So Admin has said that the Ranger class MAY be lacking come the update. So while maybe Ninja's title word choice could be better, it certainly is a real concern for Rangers going forward. And having the discussion is something that Admin can read, and consider... because it certainly sounds like the Ranger beta testers not only dropped the ball, but left the playing field as well.To be honest I think the ranger class may suffer from lack of testers - unfortunately there just don't seem to be rangers around that are willing to help out and beta test.

#27That was a sensationalist thing for the admin to say. And highly irresponsible. But admin is human, and he doesn't always say/do the most graceful things. The fact is we tested rangers, but no one purely tested rangers the way I purely tested Druids. But Teef after he totally pwned Rogue testing, pwned Ranger Testing. We used to go into the arena and test everything a ranger could do and then write down all the autoattack and skill DMG relative to live and arena, test all the different abilities etc.
We did this for multiple classes, ranger being one of them. What the admin is correct about, is that the beta testers who joined saying that they would be Beta Rangers, never were. Maybe they lied, maybe they applied and then didn't have time, maybe they had some technical issue or lost their devices...but they never showed up the way they should have. And that sucks. But the class itself isn't broken, the beta testing community contains a few superstars, a handful of 6-8 people who slid over and tested rangers as well. And all of them flipped the gap.

First off who ever said this topic is bs lets be honest here. How is it bs for someone posting their opinion and wondering about others? We are all entitled to one so really come on. Also whoever said he sounded like a child or what ever get real here. You don't know who he is of how he is. Maybe that's just how he was raised or something i don't know. And I'm not just saying this because he is also from Herne.
Secondly, yes us rangers are second best in everything so wouldn't that make us best overall? We are second in healing, dps, tanking, and "awesomeness". And we out do the other classes in what ever we are behind. So if we are the most balanced we technically are first with the right build. Just my opinion. Also if someone finds a good build after update that works for them please let me know.
Third, I understand the lack of ranger beta testers(Paddy W?) but I appriciate all tea and Marshill and teef have done for us. If no one can take the time to thank these guys for making the game better for us and for everyone than you seriously need to check yourself. These guys dedicate their time to make this game enjoyable for us and all people seem to do is complain and complain and COMPLAIN! #30I completely agree. Rangers are second best at everything and are not significant help to a group. As far as I see it, the game would not hurt at all without rangers. Rangers are a well balanced class, but are more suited for solo kills than group work. Every other class has a specific job in a group except rangers. I would like to be given a skill that could help a group as much as any other class. Rangers just don't seem complete IMO.Let me explain to you why I feel that ranger class is not completed.
Warrior class - best for armour and most health
Rogue class - best dps for speed and most powerful skill (sneaky attack)
Druid class - best for healing
Mage class - best magic
Ranger class - best for??? Bolas? Pur lease..
Each class advantage:
Warrior can go dps and still have massive armour to survive (armour added health)
Rogue can have 1200 hp and still do most damage
Druid will be fix when updates arrives (can be dps or healer)
Mage will be fix also for most magic damage and magic skills DO NOT MISS
Ranger advantage? Good question..
We can become a rogue wanna be if we dump all stat points into strength, a tank wanna be for vit? Lol, a Druid wanna be? A mage wanna be for the new coming skill?
We will get a wanna be skills from every class but at the end of the day.. We still come out as second best in everything!
See how special we are?
I don't know if this opinion is turning into a rant.
Maybe I should stop spending money into this game or just stop playing this game altogether.
Maybe I should save this post for when the updates comes.. We'll see.
