This skill is a great skill. Use it but not for solo lvling if u are using pots and combos then i dont see the point.

So where does this skill shine...? Bosses it frgging rocks bosses hardly anything can stop posion damage and because bosses have massive and i mean massive resist but nothin to posion its a fantastic skill. Rockbelly is a fun one to try it on i sit at 1209 damage all pirece and fire atm now without posion i hit 190-250 no joke... With its literally another how much damage ur posion adds... If lures are up and ur lvling its pointless waste of time if good lures are up on bosses again waste of time. But for duels and bosses without lures it rocks.

Currently im not using cause im pratting about with playdead and rend in arena for fun but if i wasnt so bored ya i would have it.

I had my first regret about being an Auto Rogue yesterday.. When it came to taking Ignus Lavalord in an FFA! - Never died so many times in the space of 5 minutes

In terms of Poison Weapon.. I do use it occasionally when levelling, however it lasts for 60 seconds and a good 15-20 seconds of that are running around making it kinda worthless, so I only really use it for bosses, where it seems to improve DPS, even with the slow ass cast speed.

I also use it because it's the only thing i can use to assist people levelling, when I'm running past (such a thoughtful guy)

Yea I have poison to help too. If noobers are leveling Ill join group for gold and poison the dps whos getting kill. Put my Void Celerity trident on, make my poison go 47/35 and it adds like 124 damage I believe.

I use before a fight, would like it to be faster cast, but with 300 dex adding 81 damage per hit for 60 seconds, it adds 3654 damage with Heroic Gloves and a Frozen Dagger per cast. With a haste Elixer it would add 5115 damage per cast (this is for me maxed at 35/35), but that is not taking into account any possible resists.

Great skill IMO, well worth the points and is probably my #1 for Rogue Skills, though very close with Fast Reflexes and Smoke Bomb.

The best thing about the damage that it adds, is that it is non resistible on all mobs in the game. It is even more effective against bosses due to their high armor, and resist. So if your hitting 300 on a boss, and it adds 81 non resisted dmg to each hit, it is greatly increasing DPS. It is probably the best DPS skill for rogues in the game atm.

I believe the damage is resistable, but very few mobs actually have poison resist.

Poison resist is certainly in the game as you can see from the resist bracelets, however the only mobs I 100% know of that have the resist are Poison Wisp line, and I believe that Dreadbone may have had some form of Poison Resist, but never tested.

I do agree that it is the best direct DPS skill for Rogues, no doubt.

Smoke Bomb will out DPS it in terms of indirect DPS, but will set you at a personal disadvantage due to cast time.

So for longer fights like agg, do you top rogues recast poison weap mid fight? i currently cast it right before starting dps, then the only thing i refresh during fight is smoke bomb, as it helps other classes and not just me. I'm an auto rogue, only use poison, smoke, and fast reflex.

I use all the way through. Takes 2 second to cast but gives you a total of about 4000-5000dmg. The problem a lot of people have is their energy when using as most don't have energy regen, but I use my mage to energy well/sacrifice my Rogue.

It would be preferable to have a lower level cast poison weapon on you and use smoke bomb as then you're not losing valuable DPS time, but someone needs to do it

To say it gives 4000-5000 damage is a over estimate i believe. You have not taken in to account misses or the fact the player might not have any dex. I also believe it takes around 3-3.5 auto attacks to cast and do the little animation thing afterwards. So basically if you have alot alot of dex and a nice posion weapon braclet so you posion is around the 70-75+ mark then yes but if you have very little dex and you posion is 60ish then no dont cast it as i believe you probs doing more damage with normal autos
