Re: Knuckleblades or dagger

Dagger.

Use cruel knife if you want to go for dex/vit only build.
Wouldn't it be str/vit build since cruel knife has a fast auto and it doesn't matter if it hits or not because the attacks are so fast... Maybe ?I'm a nub in rogues
Strength isn't useful for your auto damage because a cruel knife has extremely low pierce damage.

If you're using a golden blade or axe offhand (which you should be), the strength boost from that (along with other gear bonuses) should be enough for strength-based skills like quick strike and riposte.
Ok thanks

I'm rocking knuckles at 170 and loving it. Give it a try, nothing to lose!

Should say that I'm using a high dex and vit build, with qs shadow lifesteal poison and riposte maxed and that I lvl with combos so have attack speed of already fast knuckles boosted.
Whats ur stats?

Same build with anc. wyrm dagger instead of knucks.

Keep in mind that the speeds are different so while the damage gap looks huge it's not as catastrophic as it looks.
But unless the knucks are 2 x faster than dagger its not worth it or maybe 4/5 faster lower than that wouldn't be worth it though right?

If you absolutely have to put out as much dps as you can, then go with dagger.. If you want to use an unusual weapon where you really don't suffer from a massive dps drop (your big hits all come from skills either way) then go knucks.

Like I said, knucks isn't some hidden uber-dps build.. If they were then all the sheep would use them. I don't want to be like every other rogue, so I choose to use knucks and still manage respectable dps, and don't notice a massive difference in exp per lix, though it's been a few levels since I bothered comparing.

I'll trade out to a diff weap when I get something better than store bought, but till then I don't feel like I'm losing a lot to a dagger build.
