Re: Rules on New Bosses?

target lock imo removed any argument for a ks so they didnt ks u they earned the kill. Also remember these events come and go so just because he is a higher lvl doesnt mean he should miss out on any part of the event just because the event came after they lvled. Events offer stuff to low lvls to do but high lvls still have the right to get the bosses themselves but now low lvls can easily lock the bosses well before a high lvl can.
You have to do a certain amount of damage first.
Ya but the low levels don't have to do as much dmg because they are in the level range
Excuse my limited past experience but lvl 110s vs 150s = 150s win

He asked about the new bosses which if i can remember correctly spirehoof is not one of them and the new bosses would have a greater level and more health

The spirehoof post was an example as to how target lock gbed huge advantage to players within the mobs lvl. So as i stated before ksing doesnt happen anymore if u lose te lock that means it was his kill a lvl 100 on the lvl 100 bear needs a lot less damage then a lvl 150 on the same bear if both start at the same time most likely the lvl 100 will lock it first. Te only way the lower lvl loses ks if te higher lvl started well before and in this case its still his kill.

Alright some people dont understand let me state it better as an example. So there's 2 groups a lvl 120 group and a lvl 140 group at a lets say lvl 130 boss, the 120 group has first hit and the 140 group attacks right after, who wins?(assuming both groups can kill the boss)

A few different points both of these groups have equal rights to the boss in fact anyone has a right to a boss if they can kill it. The second difference is ur assuming if u attack first just because u hit a second sooner its ur boss well what if in fact someone else hit first is that a ks no and i personally hate this argument there are many reasons why someone may be 1 second faster then u it doesnt mean u shouldnt be able to compete for the boss and if u lock it then its urs. Another thing ks is only if a group already has the boss started they hold the boss dealt damage a decent amount of damage then another group comes along and completely out dps the group and takes the boss imo for it to be considered a ks u have to have dealt 20-30% prior to another group coming and now with target lock u will automatically get the boss if ur within the lvl range at 15% if u still lose the lock then the boss was never urs it wasnt a ks get over it wait till the next spawn. O to answer ur question depending on the group if all were lvl 140 and all were lvl 120 in their respective groups the 140 group would get it as they should.

and you don't think level 140's could completely put dps 120's on a lvl 130 boss?

This isn't that hard to understand. Lower levels get the target lock sooner. So, if a group of lower levels attack and a group of higher levels attack the lower levels will get the lock. The dps of the higher levels is rendered irrelevant because of that. The higher levels may actually do more damage, but if the lower levels get the lock they get the lock... I've seen it happen, lots of us have seen it or experienced it.
