Wow Marshill too!
I was most active from 1999 to 2002. I picked it back up again briefly but it had already lost some of what made it special to me!
I started on Darktide in Holtburg. I was fighing mud golems on a hill near town where they spawned and Og came up and welcomed me to the server with a trip to the limestone. I was a member of Son of Boarchild for any that were familiar with early Darktide.
I am really excited that us AC folk found each other. Unfortunately my two favorite elements of AC will never make it it into CH: The skill and attribute customization! I loved experimenting. And of course, I loved the sheer size, amount of dungeons, and quests. My favorite quests were kinda for non-uber items, but I loved the Black Orb (because it looked like a bowling ball) and I loved the silifi of the crimson stars. Can we get quests like that in CH!? What a sexy axe with cool upgrade stones. Of course we all liked shadow armor and atlans. I like that shadow armor came in three varieties. I was always partial to Amuli.
Deucalon, I actually beta tested AC2. Though that was like 2002ish so I do not remember much of it. I was a Lugian tactician I believe on Darktide. AC2 should have made it, but they concentrated on AC1 and AC2 which didn't work out so well. And, AC1 had that special sandbox feel that once you get a taste for is hard to give up. Just think of how large it was and you could go anywhere as long as you ocould make the perilous run. When I first discovered Mt. Soushi, I knew AC was for me. I spent many hours in Qbar at the two limestone golems. And just finding remote lifestones to bind to in the middle of nowhere was so cool. Every little detail was amazing. I remember being able to stand on the second floor in Waijou and snipe drudges

Anyhow, we all should try to co-author a thread in the feedback or petition section sharing some of the things that made/make AC one of the longest running MMO's to date. Maybe Admin and the developers will use some of them. Admin is awesome about incorporating feedback. Some of my suggestions have made it in game which is pretty cool!
