Level 125 aint exactly mid level but my energy usage aint going to go up very much unless i start taking skills to 30 ive capped myself at 25 for damage stuff and have no probs
And like i said i still have room for a crown
Re: Mage energy issues solved
#12You have 30+ levels to hard cap , 125 is closer to low than high level IMO .Level 125 aint exactly mid level but my energy usage aint going to go up very much unless i start taking skills to 30 ive capped myself at 25 for damage stuff and have no probs

Sure if you limit your Mage skill points in your best skills energy might not be an issue but then you won't be as good as other mages your level when you are higher .
Unless your saying solving the energy issue is trading damage for energy then sure you've done it!
Re: Mage energy issues solved
#13Mages will run out energy regardless lvl if they r full pure fire n ice DPS (pure caster)
Mages will little chance run out energy ONLY there are one of the following build:
1. H2h fire
Medium cloak max firebolt medium lure fire and max e shield
And medium sacrifice ( 20ish/30or35) and medium e boost
2. H2h ice
Replace firebolt n lure fire to ice
3. Caster ( not very good as reduce power)
Max firebolt medium lure fire n ice n medium ice shard and above medium e shield (23/30 or 28/35 example)
Medium e boost n medium sacrifice
Experience Mages will know how and when to TAP sacrifice and how n when to cast the e boost
No sigil build but regen lux is a must on above
Best use with a druid.
Thank u and sorry if u fail on above build but should work

Re: Mage energy issues solved
#14exactly.I really hope this is intended to be a joke.
Our energy issue go way beyond 200 or 300 regen per tick.
Maybe to cast lures 100 per tick would work. Not for full dps.
Re: Mage energy issues solved
#15Is there a boss that takes longer than 6 and half mins to kill other than aggy?
Because thats how long it takes me to run out of energy and thats going all out with no gaps in casting with auto on aswell
I can go longer with auto off as the odd sigal tick comes into play and even longer if i use sacrifice and energy boost my only problem is when soloing im spending time waiting for energy shield to come back around so i can start next mob i have enough sigals to fill my energy back up before energy shield recast time comes back around
The only thing i would change on mage would be to reduce cool down on energy shield
I think if your going higer than 25 on skills your going for instant burst damage instead of sustained firepower

#16andUse a herioc neccy 15mp
10 mp bracelet
5mp bracelet
40mp and 40hp broom
Mage works fine now so long as i only take skills to 25 instead of 30
What more could you possibly want i did think about using crown aswell but this was enough to supply all my combat needs
so you have solved the mage energy problem reducing your skill and the whole point everyone is making is that mages will have energy problems if they go max dps.my only problem is when soloing im spending time waiting for energy shield to come back around so i can start next mob i have enough sigals to fill my energy back up before energy shield recast time comes back around
Then you go on to say that you have enough sigils to refill your energy while waiting for your shield timer.

Re: Mage energy issues solved
#17Go all out dps get yourself some support!!
Tanks need support too or they run out of hp
I really dont see what everyone is whining about i can go mental for 6 an half mins with no energy boost that kills everything except aggy i could boost myself to last longer or get myself a support mage and go mental for full aggy fight
You guys seem to want to be able to go nuts for full aggy fight with no support and no regen point in any of your own skills your bound to run out of energy if you dont boost yourself or have someone boost you just like a tank dies without heals a mage will run out of energy without a boost
Your 30+ builds wont out dps me over 10 mins unless you get some support
Yes you hit harder in short term but i hit for longer and almost as high
Balance your builds or get some support

Re: Mage energy issues solved
#18Just to be clear. I don't max dps and I don't have energy problems. I could when I like but it's not my play style.
The point of the forums for me is to learn what others are doing and to help others. I commented on your post because it is misleading to new mages who have not hit the 120 - 150 range to make them believe they can use a few lux items and have no energy problems.
I respec several times a week and try lots of builds. I played a tank with max boost for a couple weeks to get a feel for energy usage. I was able to support either max fire bolt of max shield with the boost spell alone. However I could not use both. I tri-logged and killed King Askold (a leveling group tanked the guards) and Swamplord using my cloak and shield without the need for pots. I am sure the fights were 30 minutes plus without sigils kicking in.
I am not exactly sure what prompted you to post and make your point but clearly you understood you were going against the grain and people would debate your position.
I respect your play style and my favorite part of being a mage is we can really do anything. There are many solutions to energy problems and players who enjoy the class can come up with a lot of builds that will work.
Enjoy the game.

Re: Mage energy issues solved
#19This post should be titled "energy issue fixed if my Mage does 75% of what he is capable of"
I suppose you have resolved the Druid energy issue as well by telling them to only put 25 points in touch/embrace.
