Though i didn't want to comment on any lottery shindig and trust trade whatever that you have been shoving on people's faces recently, I'm gonna have to say that 30% percent is a massive cut, though the idea does sound great. But bear in mind that Your aim of appealing to people to come to your server will also work if you gave them 100% as i believe you are already 'wealthy' as it is.
What you said could be done easily with very little effort.

It definitely is something new, I personally think this is just some dark scheme created to benefit your self.

Would you send money to someone that you don't know or trust?
I'm going to take a wild guess and pretend that you would say no to this question.
Then I would ask... What would you have me do instead of a trust trade to gain trust?

The goal was to show people that I'm very trustworthy and I want to earn their trust by showing them.
My logic is: if they trust me then they will not worry about sending me money and that means they will play my lottery.
The goal is to get people to play the lottery and the trust video was a tretigic video to get people playing.

The video was 100% real and I am 100% honest.

As for the 30% I can explain why I take so much.
I am busy and I don't have too much time for managing the lottery.
I want to make something fun for everyone, so if I'm going to do it I'm going to make it worth my while.
Who knows... I might use all the profits for a giveaway to promote the server auction houses that I just started.
