Galaxy, you can do way more things with. Galaxy beats out iPhone any day.

All android devices are an iPhone with features removed and added. iPhone is better all the way. End of discussion.

There was a time about 6-7 years ago when apple actually had the best hardware for smartphones. That day has gone and will likely never return.

If you compare the actual phones say a galaxy s5 to an iphone 5s the iphone is the loser in every single hardware category.

Processor, camera, display, storage space and accessibility, water resistance, etc pretty much any feature you can name the galaxy wins. This isn't even debatable its factual.

I guess if you have been roped into apples North Korea business market where all your songs, apps, etc are all apple property and you paid thousands of dollars for temporary access to them you are motivated to keep using apple. Or perhaps your employer pays for your phone contract. Or perhaps you just like apple though I've no idea how people can like them.

Only positive things i can think of is there are a bit better paid apps with less bugs on iPhones over androids more free and bug prone apps.

Just as with iOS 8 apple is copying android features and giving them to iphone users months to years after others. Apple is even trying to have propitery chargers and cabling and as such are taking steps in iOS8 to make sure all your properly priced chargers and cables will no longer work so you must buy apples 8000% markup ones.

A thing I hate about both phones is the build.

I am convinced that there is some dark behind the scenes stuff going on whereby they purposely don't build their phones to last for profit. Also, every time a new model is released, suddenly the older models decide that they are going to start giving up. Mysterious and maybe I'm just being cynical!

Apple chargers and headphones for iPhones break so easily in my opinion. I had to replace my charger 5 times and headphones 3 times... It's pretty expensive too. I feel like galaxy/samsung has less restrictions and more features than the iPhone while the iPhone has some awesome apps.

At the opening of the smartphone industry, Apple was #1 big time, for good reasons. Their phones rarely cracked/broke, and the UI was excellent compared to others. I dropped my early iPhone in the toilet once with no case or additives.. was underwater for about 15 seconds, worked perfectly with no mishaps when I fished it out! However over the years their quality has degraded horrendously, and now their best selling point is the well-designed UI and their spectacular App Store.

Functionality-wise, compared to the Galaxy iPhones are awful, which I will refrain from listing as it has already been mentioned repeatedly above. However, the iOS App Store is far superior to the Android in terms of accessibility, content, and simplicity, and has a much broader range of applications. Apple's extensive developer program does a far better job at protecting against Malware than Android, and their streamlined OS and keyboard is much more intuitive and easier to use than Android's.

However, the controllingness and greed of Apple is it's biggest downfall. They are MUCH to restricting with the functionality of their apps, their earbuds and chargers are a joke, and their costs far outweigh the value of their products. In fact, the third party iDevice chargers are so much better than Apple's, that Apple got jealous and in the next few OS's (5 onwards) tried to make the device recognize non-apple chargers and refuse to charge with them.. which backfired and malfunctioned quite a bit when devices would reject Apple chargers.. but they have been improving in their efforts over the past years, and I believe almost all 3rd party chargers are rejected on iOS 7+.

Not to mention the exuberant costs required to develop for Apple..

Go with the Galaxy.

I had a couple of Android phones before I got my first iPhone back in February. The only Android phones that really come close or pass the iPhone in quality are the HTC One M7 or M8. You can't really compare specs since the OS of each platform have different requirements, and even though you're dealing with a processor and ram that are less than the Android flagships, IOS runs every bit as fast or faster than phones with almost twice the power. I gotta say that I don't really miss anything about Android except for the ability to replace the keyboard, and that is coming with IOS8. Everything really is more stream lined than Android. Which is fine by me, since like me, most people really don't use most of the advanced features that Android offers above IOS. The best way to choose is to go into your local carrier store and mess around with the demo units and base your decision off of that and not what other people tell you. Which ever platform you choose, you will have a dirth of quality apps and games to choose from.

Galaxy has less restrictions... But iphones have ch... It's a tie for now._.
