Fire ice, I think its a great combination. Also, if ur using ice skills as extras (if ur fire mage) then its a great combo, a friend of mine is crazy about mages (back at the day he had 5 mages, 2 were end game and 3 were 120-140) and always lvled his end-game mages, one fire and one ice with extra skills of the opposite element.

I personally have lvl 120 mage and I lvl him with maxed sacrifice, low survivability but very high dps (1k focus atm, when I'll replace gear he should have 1.2k focus or so at lvl 120) which makes druid my perfect partner, but once it'll get to a point where u need another partner I'll recommend ice mage + extra ice skills / rogue + lure of assassins.

Yes, only xp, although I once tried the lowest tier eng potion (normal not super) from otm's gift, I had 5.6k energy at lvl 116 so I didnt even see my energy going down. Id prob use eng and dps skill over sacrifice once I'll need more dps, probably a rogue, and the druid wont be able to focus myself only.
