Do the mobs even drop 5 speed horses? I was under the impression that only 80+ speed horses exist (same with the previous animated mounts). A 5 speed horse would still be worth 100k+, wouldn't it? At least before worlds became flooded? If you get a horse every 150 kills on average, dedicated farmers would be getting 10 a day

Why would you say their worth 100k+, when absolutely no one will want them?

Noone wants a horse? lol ok. Tell that to anyone under 140, or any wealthy player who gears banks with fashion, or half the females in this game. If I can sell a 5 speed black dragonstaff for 100k and a no speed cloud for 60k, why would a horse be any less?

It dosent have to drop a horse with high frequency just stick mounts.

There really isn't a point to them.

At least a 5% mount being dropped occasionally would give some purpose to the morcas. Seriously, if these mobs are completely useless then id rather the events not even have them and spare us the additional lag, plus it would save on turn around time for these events due to it saving the developers the time to implement these useless features and then spending even more time bug testing them. I say either make them worthwhile or stop wasting everyone's time. After such a long wait for this event I think everyone just expected something ...better.

I've killed 5k+ during this event.
When the event came out, I literally spent all night on my 80% mount running to them and kicking their asses in 1 shot. Don't say it has a decent drop rate, because the drop rate is less than 1/5000

1. Just cause you didn't get a drop after 5000 kills doesn't mean the drop rate is less than 1/5000

3. Highly doubtful you killed 5000. Probably not even 500. If you're killing one every 20 seconds it would take 100,000 seconds to kill 5000. Which is 28 hours. You've dedicated 28+ hours so far to nonstop morcas mob farming? With that time you might as well just farm smugglers and buy a mount lol

I think that's the point of the thread.

Back when they dropped items every time, like scrolls, you could easily count your totals. I have farmed events and killed thousands, probably 5000 in all events and have no mounts. That puts the odds less than 1/1000 even if I'm pretty darn unlucky.

Yes I got one in beta.

We all know that not everything in beta gets into the live game and new bugs are introduced to the live game that wasn't in beta.

Somehow, somewhere, there is a sneaky programmer changing things during migration to the live environment. Or OTM has gremlins in their servers.
