That's not true. Some of us have tried dex build on end game rangers. It sucks.

Should have said a majority. We had a great ranger in our clan try dex build and stacked ranged combat and sharpshot damage. I think he outhit us rogues once or twice on necro before changing back to str. As it is now he uses a dex mord helm because the damage he gains from the increase in sharp and steady aim is more than he would get from 100 str.

Gwydions STR rangers have gotten 95% of all Necro kills.

All our rangers are currently STR built focusing on high attack and damage of course and yes they get the kill many times, more so than rogues. Could be partially die to the fact that they don't kill adds but in all seriousness str rangers have fantastic dps(end game). I just wanted to point out the instance where a ranger went near full dex and outhit rogues. That was with elite gear though, imperial and godly everything opposed to rogues with dl weapons(vs edl bow/quiver) and sliggtly lower tier jewellery. Perhaps a dex ranger just can't compete with a rogue in similar gear.

Anyways I've been with rangers all the way in all posts I've made on similar topics. Clearly there is issues with skills end game and OTM is yet to address them. I'm sure they're aware of the issues by now though.

Do you have an endgame ranger as well, or is your sig just really outdated? I don't think you can consider yourself an endgame ranger at this point if you don't have edl armor set and bow, at the very least.

And it is fairly reasonable to compare edl bow rangers to rogues with only dl weps. Look at the number of 220+ rogues and rangers; that'll explain the difference in gear. High dex build does seams feasible in some cases. Not for the skills, but for the increased attack. On bosses where most of your damage is coming from the divine amount you may as well increase your attack as much as possible, if it means sacrificing 150 auto dmg (which might only hit 20 dmg average)

It would be interesting to see a ranger with a few necral rings of the pit and have absolutely crazy high ranged combat and dex while ring swapping for max longshot. Rogues are the stronger class though, rangers are superior to rogues on necro as they are out of the lifesteal aoe at all times and rogues dont have their ss

U do know that on android it's not as easy to get edl. And I can confirm that acid is an end game ranger and that you wouldn't be better than him at his level.
