The only way to counter an aoe of that size is to have all close range DPs rebirth to full vit, use some health gear as well as super max health lix or combo. I know 15k or more hp is achievable by most, but I'm wondering how frequent this aoe is? It may take massive numbers of druids to outheal it. Of course having everyone go full HP will result in a loss of DPs.

Seems a bit unfair the aoe msg is in white, or I'd reccomend running from it. If it comes periodically, could have someone watching a timer and tell ppl to run just beforehand.

We went into this test with tanks and druids with the sole purpose of tanking gelebron only. We were able to tank him for a decent amount of time with 3 druids but eventually this AOE took us out. It seems like OTM doesn't want us to kill gelebron yet. If that is the case it would be nice to know so we don't just smash plat testing it in futile.

Good idea change all the close range dps to full vit and do even less dmg than we already do, It is already hard enough to put a dent in the health bar and if most of dps is tanky the theres no chance of killing. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Have you come up with a better solution? Also, if gelebron has super high resist then divine dmg will be doing most of the dmg anyway. If so, going full vit won't affect dps much for those with EDL offhands. Just look at the actual dmg you're doing to the boss and I'll bet 80% of that is your divine dmg. How much dmg can you do on the floor?

Havoc is right about the divine, but I don't think this aoe is such a big problem, it's kinda of like the inferno at mordris so overall it won't affect the raid too much
Not even close to inferno. It casts multiple times throughout the fight and often too. Not to mention many can survive inferno, there is no surviving this unless you're a full tank buffed warrior.

What about santuary. I'm not sure on how strong the skill is at max level but maybe it's worth a try
never seen max sanctuary protect more then 1.1k at max lvl.
vulture, how often is this skill cast? i havent been able to test as much as i would like.
I'm not too sure as I did not time it, when we were doing some tests we were focused on other things as we figured this was just inevitable death. It was probably ~60 seconds or so..

Sanctuary will not cut it down to survivable, not even close.
Did it cause your dps to have death penalty or idol timer? If not then it shouldn't be too detrimental to a clans ability to kill. Still a bit annoying tho since it guarantees the use of idols.

I'm wondering if anyone's gotten below 50% hp before rage, if not, I'm doubtful anyone will be able to boost their dps by that much anytime soon. Maybe in a year or so when clans have everyone with both EDL weapons.

Also, has anyone attempted to kill it through rage? If so, what problems prevented you from doing so?

If ur killing xtals, which rogues do often this aoe won't affect you very much, I feel more sorry for the tank

Just an idea here but what if you timed his skills so you would know when this op aoe skill was going to be cast and have multiple mages with freeze on it so right when he's about to use it freeze him every time to give druids time to heal up the tanks
