That's not your fault. If they are dieing they are killing things too high for them or rely purely on dps. You DO help with lure but I agree.Just wanted to say that support mage is not that bad but I really do feel stupid just casting lures all day and letting my friends do all the hard work. They waste tons of restos and all I do is sit there tapping every now and then. I personally do not regard this as 'team' work.

If you knew mages sucked in Update 2, why make one and continue to level it? If you started a Mage in Update 3, didn't you think to read the Mage forums prior?

Max Sacrifice, Max energy boost, you won't need sigils, simple.
Marshill was a beta tester and he gave tremendous and valuable input to improve the Mage class during the beta period. The biggest problem is that NO ONE AT OTM ACTUALLY PLAYS A MAGE to realize that the class is terribly broken.Wow Marshall.

Rogues are the dps class, the only true dps class in the game, I've yet to see a rogue play effectively any other way.

What level is masm ? I've seen rogue tanks and they are not effective . Now I've seen rogues tank and it's awesome , but a tank build rogue couldn't keep agro off my ranger or my rogue , so it's not really effective .
I think that you had to qualify your statement with "for being a rogue" is very telling

haha, not much and I have no sigils so that has no affect on me. I levelled from 110-144 with a druid and couldn't get 1 kill by myself

At the higher levels, boss fighting and OW, mage is useless.
I basically leveled my alt rogue to 70 in one day. Actually it took two days, but if you take away sleep, family, eating, going out, etc. So playing low is easy.
Being a support mage really suxs many time i find falgren an lose him cuz iam support new quest i always need some one to help me with EVERYTHING and many time ppl lvling in cave on pot wait a sec sigh lost kill ... FYI ppl will first group with druid rather then mage ... No one could solo level effectively in Otherworld apart from rangers. You think it makes you look weak shouting for group training? that's kinda sad.. Group training is part of the game. Also, No skills spare after putting a few in sacri or energy boost? what are you, level 10?
I now understand that the problem is with the energy consumption. It's hard to tell with people complaining about not being able to solo, not being top DPS and all other stuff.
I am out as I now have no feedback to give. Hopefully this energy problem gets solved for you mages, but I don't really think their is anything wrong with your DPS.

MadOnion is right! it costs more health than recieved energy with sacrifice and sigils are not needed but it's like a rogue with no offhand.I will tell u why .... And if we energy healers ok... Compare to druid heals sigh mages just sux make it atleast the same why make the mages go crazy .... Ok druid heals 1,000 how much energy he losses 130 ish ...lets look at mages lose your health to give energy away not to mention about 250 really fair for a mage energy healer .... Why make it crazy hard for mages
