I would be very interested to know if your clan mates felt you are hands down the clans best dps .

My clan is a small clan and ranked the 3rd. And all ppl agree that I am the best dps in our world even the guy who has the rogue just shown off in this post.

Either way, who got the kill does not show best DPS which beat DPS was what the topic was originally about.

Yes. But since some wyverns have around 1000 defence and Aggragoth has around 1500 defence, we have to take attack as even more important than damage.

Not sure if the numbers are correct but the idea is , his resistances are also a major factor , and this is why I only said that Mage wouldn't get Aggy kill . I hope am wrong , I am all for my clan mages doing insane damage . I have yet to see it that's all .

He doesnot have as good evasion as his defence. That's why I could win.

If u only judged his dmg from his ice shard, we could see how lame dps iceshard is

Huh? Ice Shards isn't highest DPS I think we all know this, but it is higher than incinerate which you place points into. Not saying your build is bad, I would do the same thing as you wouldn't have free room for lure of ice but to say ice shards is lame DPS isn't really accurate. It's not the best DPS but it's a good 2nd choice to Firebolt.

Where do you get your numbers? At 1260 focus, I've played with both 49/35 Ice Shards and Incinerate and Ice Shards ended up higher DPS. Maybe incinerate has a lower focus dmg bonus coefficient than Ice Shards? I'm confused now...

We could check their dmg at lvl 10, 20, 30 and 35(not shown after lvl 35)
And think about the ability items u will put on. Guess now u should work out inci or iceshard better

Thanks for the info, I think there is more to consider than just what the damage shows on the skill page. As I mentioned, the benefit from additional focus may alter the damage more for one spell vs the other due to the coefficients being different. Also you have to consider spell recast times, etc. I'll definitely test out some more though so I appreciate your feedback!

If this is the case it would make sense for me (Skill-based mage) to drop Ice Shards and Lure of Ice and max out Lure of Assassins. I guess it also begs the question... has anyone figured out Aggragoth's pierce resistance numbers? I have the ability to get 50/35 due to extreme luck in finding a godly lure of assassins ring, but don't want to waste points if it isn't needed. I think there were threads about 30 being enough to drop his fire and ice resist to 0 but I haven't seen anything about pierce.

With his ire ability being so high to max his firebolt incin would be better then ice shards I believe.

540 fire damage rest pirece for me I like to stack it
I can get around (with no health) 1330 damage with 3250+ attack.
