If pets were introduced, what kind of pets would people like to see?

Would you rather they be pets like rabbits, cats, dogs etc., or more along the line of wolves, bears etc.?

I would like to suggest mob- related pets that look like the mini versions or character size of those models.

My input is there should be no pets, they are just annoying things to have.
I highly disagree! Ive played many MMOs over the years, WoW, Everquest, Aoc, Guild wars, and many many more It has always been the Pet/ranger classes that have appealed to me the most. Leveling up my pets was one of the most enjoyable aspects of these games for me. The pets add a certain depth and intrigue to a game, they become a part of your character. Obviously I'm not alone in feeling this way as is apparhent with the wide success of the pets in all of the aforementioned games I listed. I think they would be a welcome addition to CH.
I just think that in Celtic mythology, people rode horses into attle, they didn't take pet with them.
Make the horses/mounts have bonuses.

Your statement leads me to believe that you dont know much about the Celts or their culture. Animals were at the core of most of their theology and belief systems. They had many animals that they attributed certain qualities to, such as the Bull represented a strong will, the butterfly meant transformation, Cats represented the celtic guardians of the underworld, the dog represented loyalty, dolphins where good luck, ducks and geese where honesty and good luck, Griffins represented duality, boars represented courage, there are many more but by now you get the point. In their mythology some celtic stories mentioning them are like the death of Tristan, or Fion, or Taliesin, to name a few. In Celtic everyday life they had and used pets. They where famous for their use of dogs, often placing spiked leather armours on them to take to war. They would unleash bears into enemy encampments. They hunted with falcons. They used boars to find truffels, etc..etc...etc.. Even if you want to go the "mythology" route, where in Celtic mythology do you find Crookbacks, floating eyeballs, or magic carpets? This is a fantasy game loosley based on Celtic lore and traditions. Knowing even a little about their history and culture should make people wonder why pets where not an initial part of this game since pets where essential for the Celts everyday existance.

I think it could be nice to have a scary werevolf like in a song of ice and fire accompany you in battles.

But we dont want a celtic heroes to be a circus.

So these special "pets" should be rare and extremely hard to acquire :

1 : set a level level rec like 150 minimum
2 : set the starting quest to acquire the werevolf mastering ability in a new area after otherworld
3 : recquire some special items you could only get from crafting to succed a very difficult quest
4 : after acquiring the skills, then you could buy one werewolf from a special apc. This need to be a huge price in gems and gold.

After acquiring your werewolf :
1 : it would also need a slow leveling, they would become progressivly huge and powerful. In a fight they could die, respawning with you if you use idols, anyway dying with you if youndie, as werewolves are psycholinked lol to their masters.
2 : you would be able to equip them with armors also from crafting (connact armors, dragons scales...)
i like how the level req is 150... and ur just above 150 on one char and just under on another, baised opinion of level req? maybe
I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

I would like the level requirements to be null and void, let new players have them. If your just trying out this game and find that you cant have a pet till lvl 150 youd be like forget this game and move on the the next free to play MMO. Why should everything about this game piss on its new players?
