I've never ridden in one, and seeing a plane crash on the news, and 9/11, doesn't help!

Yea my mother retired after 47 years as a flight attendant. The plane she's ridden in has been hit by lightening countless times, has had countless engines blow out, even been hijacked to Cuba once. The worst thing to ever happen to her is she fell down the staircase on a 747-400 which broke her ankle. You are pretty safe on average.
