I am the exact same as armo, I for the most only loan items to people in our clan and have never been scammed (bloodlust helms, 1 mill samhain shield ammy, even have 90 dmg hrung rings and a mordy spear loaned out).

Someone contacted me names "OneThumbMobile" in game and was saying i scammed over 50k and was cussing to much and if i didn't give my account info i would be banned in 24hrs

We can say that its mainly becauss game ia based on trust. A high level scammer will hardly progress in game and most likely leave because solo u cant do anything. hopefully;)

Or pretending to sell the OLD Hero Ammy, but actually putting a Twinsoul Necklace instead, since both look the exact same.

These are all classic mmorpg scams. It's actually a good life learning experience as it prepares you for the same thing but with non virtual items.

The best bet is to trust no one, not even yourself.

If you don't lend you can't be scammed, if you do lend it is only inevitable you will be scammed at some point. These days I only lend items for a raid and then only to a few key people. I used to lend more but the crap out rate on getting stuff back made me stop.

It would be nice if the game had a lend option where the gear would return to the lending character after a set time. Until then don't lend anything unless you are prepared to give it away for free.
