A faster gele spawn rate wouldn't change camping.
No one said anything about faster gele spawn rate.
People would still camp.
Pretty sure i already said that.
But instead of having 36 hours to take a break you would have less and less.
Errr no. 36 hours window and 36 hours spawn time, do the math. Why would it be less, all you have to do is counter it. 24 window with 48 spawn time or even better... 12h window and 60h spawn time.
This is the game, if you don't like it don't play it. This has been the way CH has opperated since it started.
Its called evolving. You really think if OTM said to everyone in the feedback forum "This is the game, if you don't like it don't play it" that would solve anything? No, they would lose a lot of their player base if they did that so dont be dumb.

I think youre confusing the difference between window and spawn times. I would suggest you read carefully first instead of trying to reply in all the topics in the forum as fast as possible to rack up post counts.
Lol I have been playing since 2012 if I care about post counts it would be a lot higher.

Evolving can mean things like adding horizontal content or permanent content. But a large aspect of what makes ch ch is the idea of high clan competition. You want to make it so competition doesn't matter anymore. If competition doesn't exist then what is the purpose of a clan? I get your server is more competitive than others but your server is not every server and otm can't just change spawn times for your server alone. You need to look at the whole big picture of the game.
Celtic heroes is a clan based mmo. This means that the gsme is more than just raiding and grinding but there is a high element of clan rivalry and competition, making it so every clan can get every boss all the time basically throws out the founding idea of the game.

A bird doesn't evolve into a human, it can change its beak to better break nuts, or expand it so wings for longer flight, but a bird doesn't become a human. Ch can add horizontal content, it can change temporary fashion to permanent fashion, but ch is a clan based mmo, it doesn't change into a ffa mmo.

How will reducing window reduce competition? It wont. It would just give players more time to actually enjoy the other contents of the game.

Me being in Morrigan is just a coincidence, so no again. Im not the first and i wont be the last to ask for reduced spawn times.

If you think theyre ^ all from Morrigan then youre blind.

CH is a clan based mmo.. well no spectral sherlock... obviously you need a whole clan to kill end game bosses, no one even mentioned anything about being clan based or not so i have no idea what youre on about on this one, reducing the window wont "change it into a ffa mmo" at all.

Imo just add some more raid bosses to the point where it's impossible to monopolise them all

Ch is a clan based MMO meaning is was designed to be this way. Been like this since the start. More raid bosses would make it easy. The game description says "are you worthy of the clans." Clan competition is supposed to be there.
Monopolization is a side effect but typically only lasts in short bursts. Resurgence has been the dominant clan on arawn since 2013 but I would never go so far as to say we have always had a monopoly. I was in a competition clan until August 2016 and I had dl offhand and eg items, and only bought a small amount of the total I had.
The point on reduced spawn windows I was addressing is above. That is the concept or notion that I was attacking. And ya this isn't an old issue and spawn times hve been drastically reduced. Frozen timers went from 2 hours long windows to 10 minutes, dl from 1 hour to 10, edl from 1 hour to 10, end game from 48 hours to 36.
Camping is a part of the game. If bosses just spawned at one certain time and everyone knew it every clan would just set an alarm and only log for that time. This would mean the dominant clan would win 100% of the time (by dominant i mean the clan that locks eg 100% of the time). this isnt competition but the same clan winning over and over again. Long windows spice this up. Becuase depending upon time of day etc different clans are stronger, so depending upon how fast you can rally etc depends who locks it. This adds a lot more competition to the game.
Edit: the difference between EG and quest bosses is quest bosses respawn multiple times over the course of a day so each clan can have a chance because as i said above each clan has a peak window of acitivty. EG bosses by nature aren't supposed to be as common as EDL or dl bosses and thus should only spawn so often, and to keep maximum competition should have a large window.

If i was in a lesser clan i would love a shorter window too and it would actually help them a lot, shorter window means they have bigger chance of winning since they would have a better idea of when a boss is about to spawn so they can log or get their best members ready... like with Snorri now.

Shorter window and longer spawn time would benefit them too since they would have a looooot more time to lix rather than being parked and camped at bosses most of the time to even stand a chance of winning a boss.

Whether it is smaller or larger, competition dies. Also a smaller clan getting all the eg doesn't seem in best interest of the server. That means the minority of players get the majority of the gear.

Back to the OP anyway.. the whole point of me asking for reduced window and longer spawn time on this thread is so other players (mostly eg'ers) will have more time to actually enjoy the other contents (and future contents) of the game without worrying about being parked/camped at bosses pretty much 90% of the time.

My whole point, and something you conceeded, is that if windows for eg are massivly reduced lesser, smaller, whatever clans are winning the bosses. This means a clan, whether it is the top clan, the small clan, or the clan run by that one odd person on your server, is winning the bosses. If the same people show up to every eg, which they would as everyone would know exactly when it would spawn and lets face it its eg, if you knew exactly when hrung or mordy would spawn you would be there almost always, then the same clan would win almost every time. I don't care what clan it is, the same clan would win. That isn't competition. By having long a** windows it gives everyone a chance.

And no one has to camp, you only "have" to camp if you really want the boss, this helps eliminate some clans who would just camp to hoard the gear.

Also why can't you just do what i suggested? have a dual logger or anyone make a lvl 1 account and just prop up their phone on charger and keep an eye on it while you finish catching up on Game of Thrones before season 7 comes out.



All in all i get why shorter windows sounds appealing. I camped a mordy for 15 consecutive hours one night lol, and the next mordy i camped 12 straight hours (i really wanted a helm :lol:). If anything you would expect me to agree with you, and as a member of a dominant clan, on my server we would probably end up being that clan that would always lock the bosses if there was a shorter window. So all in all it would benefit me a lot, yet there is a reason i am fighting it. That is because the game is bigger than just us or our clans or our world. Its all the servers and all the clans. And in the interest of preserving the chance of competition i keep my -1 to shorter windows.



Also i don't even remember how we got to this, the OP for this thread was about crafting :lol: to which i said +1 cuz more killing stuff lol.

To all of you crafting haters. This game desperately needs something like crafting. Fixing eg bosses doesn't fix squat, you'll still be killing the boss over and over and over again. Instead of "fixing" things that will make no change to overall gameplay at all, otm needs to expand and give us more things to do. Not to mention how tiny our armor options are (especially for warrior, using dl/edl 24/7). Crafting gives players something to do and give players something legit to aim for (good useable armor and jewelry), because let's face it, fishing was a great start but there's honestly nothing to aim for but bears which don't affect anything but fishing.

Crafting, PvP overhaul, and an expansion update (new areas) are the main things otm should be focusing on. The reason why players are so critical on raid bosses is because that's the only thing they can do really, so by expanding by adding crafting, PvP overhaul or an expansion update, players will take their minds off of the repetitive raid boss grind and will finally be given a chance to focus on new things worth focusing on

I agree that we need more things to do than just killing bosses, but thats what Celtic Heroes is. I really hope they add stuff like crafting as long as its not done like fishing: theres no reward for casually playing.

Another thing that makes it hard for many players to enjoy all the new content thats coming, are the long raid windows. We dont have to have this discussion again, because we have too different opinions on this, but many players have to camp bosses for several reasons. Reducing windows would mean less camping and more time for other things to do in game. I think we all want that, right?
