Re: This a good build? Good gear?!

IMHO a mixed build leaning towards str is better, but everyone does differently. Dex may look like it out DP str build, but you find out quickly that the skills miss, the dmg isn't consistant and you run out of energy and can't spam the skills anyway...leaving you using auto shot for long periods of battle, esp on bosses. If you go all dex this leaves you with an AWFUL auto shot dmg. Having full DL off sets this somewhat and having DMG gear helps, however, a full DL with DMG gear and str are working well for me. I pvp most over my level and many rogues and for a ranger that isnt bad. Can kill most ph, even dl ph solo so thats not bad either.

Pah, I train in groups all the time and I skip blackstones and go to kelpies. Well, I did do that.

Try telling that to my high regen mooks.
Also my str is 60 and my damage is near 1.2k now.

yes, but then you waste on regen...slots u can use for other things...brace slots, ring slots etc. Hurg brace and aggy brace take my brace slots, rings are skill and dmg. No one has enough regen to spam skills, unless they put points into foc...which is a waste.
I actually could go that route...but then you have the other issues, shots being avoided, long shot being useless for some bosses, sharp shot having poor dmg and missing...not to mention the cast time on all skills is SLOW....

1.2K dmg is really not alot meep. Mine over 2K without any buffs or dmg ring
dex is better due to the fact that sharp shot and longshot can do tons of damage but if it misses it doesnt matter that much...i'd do wht meep says due to the fact that his build has great auto damage and great skill damage...im assuming ur str is 300+ and u only do over 2k damage without buffs? it seems that if u think about it it doesnt seem right...60 str is wht 1200 damage then if u multiply str by 2 shouldnt str multiply by 2 (im jst thinking logically) 2k damage without really good skill damage is bad to me. because 2k+ damage will only do like what 1.3-1.7k damage on mobs due to their resist? with meeps build n all u can do good skill damage and 700-900ish damage im guessing ...u tell me ...whts better huh? ._.

You assume too much. Skill dmg also nerfed by resist and cant assume that skills can be used often...cool down cast time and energy req prevent that. Yes, in a world with no cast time, no energy req and no cool down of course it would be better to use longshot. In practice it does not work. Take longshot to a bogg cave and try to lvl with it, or into arena for pvp, or to a boss that your clan is trying to kite. Does not matter what dmg is on the skill if u cant use it or only use it once a battle.
