Around a third of the necks Aeon received were Shrivewood. This unbalance could have been compensated by a lack of blood necks? I agree, it seems low.. Everyone seems to have such rarities with blood. After all, it's the best* set, so it makes sense to be the rarest.

I think your "may" become locked is more accurate to "will" become locked.

I don't know really, I think the answer is in the particulars of the gear, build, and goal. For solo in some parts of the tower and necro it definately isn't the best. Of course for casters, obviously, it isn't. I would say solo as a general purpose set for rogues and rangers it probably is but for warriors, even dps build ones, it's not so clear.

It's probably the best for lock groups of rogues/Rangers where it happens so fast you are unlikely to have the boss lured.

As others have said its not much of a difference when blade, frost, or storm sets are lured (not that you would find a magic lure lol) so in groups at raids I think it's overrated a bit.

Allerion posted a pretty good breakdown of the drops so unless world drop rates are different (a possibility) it seems taranis did get a somewhat improbable distribution.

Didn't mean pvp lol I'd get wrecked by your Mage and warrior. Also I don't understand what you mean about us asking for help on bosses, I don't mean my individual power, I'm nothing without my clan. We work together to help each other, and we don't just ditch the others once we have the drops we need.

Well I don't mind helping my clan, even the new recruits. I kept campin skain even though I already had two sets. But I have to be honest, becoming the fourth most powerful clan on the server every time I fully log has its benefits.

With relation to Allerion's post (which was really interesting, keep doing these!), I can see that the rarity of Bloodnecks wasn't too far-fetched. Danu reportedly received two, we received one, and we had a LOT of shrive necks.
