Why not for melee classes..? Plenty of people are happy with just a single character, especially if they can't duel device.

I myself am happy with just a mage. Sure, I've made some alts but I don't level them anymore and haven't used them in awhile.

I have zero lux items, and I get enough gold without farming or buying plat to purchase lixes and still have excess gold.

You lack this experience, so not sure why you would dispute it.

When you're at 210, you have the lux and mounts you need. Some do want to upgrade but it's def not necessity.

Virtual gold isn't nearly as awe inspiring to most players like you think it is. You know who is impressed by large amounts of gold? Low levels that can't afford even a hero ammy.
