also, slightly off topic, but my pet peeve about christianity is that Jesus, Mary, etc are nearly always portrayed as white. They were from the middle east... they were not white people and to say so is racist and ignorant
Religous believers are generally more racist and oppressive in comparison to atheists, look at places that are more atheist, look at their crime rates, crime is practically non existent there. And considering Christianity is the biggest world religion they are who I have my biggest beef with for ruining the world. The bible even tries to distill fear in people for the idea of a peaceful world, ergo, Christians like war and violence, despite what their mouths say their book says otherwise.
Your stereotyping again.

So if you can say that about us christians, I can say that all scientists make nuclear weapons to try to rule the world, and they are all pedophiles and does "things" to little puppies. And they are murderous Baby killers, that likes to take a babies life with a vacuum machine .
First no atheist takes joy or sadness out of it, second if anything, Christians are more the pedophile than atheists, why do you think elderly priests are shown in media to be pedos? Because they were up until about 100 years ago. Also I was generalising the group and refering to the majority, the majority of scientists dont build nuclear warheads, ergo you are focusing on the minority.

Assuming its real, how do you know God didnt put it there?

Also, my point is that scientists claim to have some proof, and then admits that they were totally wrong.
And they sometimes claim they have a cure for X virus, but has some horrific side effect, and they kill/damage a few hundreds of people.
We know god didnt out it there because (for the umpteenth time) GOD ISNT REAL. We cant just assume god is real and base conclusions on that in science anymore, we need testable, proof of a god, which all religions that believe in a deity are lacking

Also royal as I have said before, if you wish to believe god made the Big Bang happen then that is fine, but you are denying facts to suit your narrow minded ideals of what the world is, and what the world was, fit your religions around the fact, not the other way around. I don't hate christians if their belief can fit the fact, I hate people who like to deny that the sun comes up every morning and state it is not the sun, but the bearded boogeyman.

You first have to prove that a god exists before you suggest a god put "it" there.

Yes, scientists find proof and when they find a preponderance of evidence to suggest otherwise, they actually admit to being incorrect. Religion does not change at all; except various interpretations once a certain scientific idea is beyond refutability.

Erm, there are no cures for viruses. We can treat them and try to contain them but a virus lives inside your body's cells. I take it that your point was in regards to the negative effects of various medicine. All medicines have various unintended side effects and it is the cost of relieving the "greater evil." Better to survive as a cripple than not survive at all.

I don't mindlessly believe in God, I see fulfilled prophecies and daily news shows how they build up too.
Also, do you think God would make it that easy for you? If he would just appear and start throwing lightening bolts at evil people everyone would believe and adore him.(assuming you think hes like zeus)

Life is a Test, and some of us can see the facts, and some (ahem...You) don't.

You say the bible isn't enough proof, and never happened, when geologically you proven wrong.

Lets say some one kidnaps some one, and kills him/her in secret. Just because no one saw it, does it mean it didn't happen? Just because you cant find the murder weapon, does it mean it didn't happen?
Think out of the box ...

The majority of aborting doctors are atheists, so yeah...
And just because catholic priests were pedos, does it mean every one else was?
Again, that's the minority.

YOU said that the majority of people are religious, so then every one is a pedophile?
Get you statistics right

Royal just because the bible got something right doesnt mean it is all right, I could tell you oxygen is an element (true) but if after I told you I was superman would you believe me? No. Dont use the slim amount of fact to justify the large amount of fiction.

Also the daily news? Have you ever wondered that maybe, just maybe, the news may be the slightest bit bias? If you go by the media you believe teenagers are the devil, gays are the devil, blacks are the devil, women are the devil, and Asians are the devil, if you believe this then you lose all debating rights.
