Mages can have a boost in armor there is nothing wrong with that but it makes me upset that mages complain about there insanely awesome class i mean seriously there awesome and ill have to check back and ask josh what his frostbite does but i know its somewhere around 1500-2000 at 50/50 Marco makes it sound like he wants mages to have as much armor as warriors which would ruin balance. And i have spent alot of plat trying lots of dif rogue builds. But seriously really compare your class to others mages are awesome!

I agree with many of the posts about "mages you have your specific purpose". Yes, every class must balance out a build. You can't, as some people said, have a million focus, and survive more than 5 minutes. Rangers are probably the most balanced class. GO RANGERS

I think josh has a lot of sigils. Perhaps it's sigils which makes Mages appear so powerful...

I have pretty good items on my mage with an eshield of 40/35 and boosts to firebolt and firestorm and fire attune. I also have more than 1K sigils and have high focus build. It's easy to solo 1 star, 2 stars are more difficult and three stars only happen if i time the shield right (i need two shields) and use restos.

Eshield needs a faster recast and so does the attune spells.
Eshield should also be focus driven not just some standard value.
I thought that maybe a new spell to help mages evade attacks would be great, but then that would mean more skill points to take out of our already limited amount.
Many of the mages spells are all necessary, you need shield, lures, and eboost. That's hardly any points left to put anywhere else.

In groups, my mage constantly dies due to getting a lot of aggro and I seem to have the knack of always standing in the wrong place and mobs seems to instantly appear!

However, how is a mage my own level without the equipment and sigils going to survive is beyond me.

When players die, idols should replenish life and mana and reset skills.

p.s. bring back golden camos. Mages and druids need them... :D

Just saying what ever aggro you get a rogues is more i constantly manage to take agro off 40-45-50 taunts its quite stupid really cause i feel like i have a long way to go untill i am at a perfect build and perfect rogue. If i get the gear i want... God help the warriors in my clan.

Im all for making freeze more usefull but i was in previuos beta and been able to hit whe target was frozen was considered overpowered by the mages doing the testing and useless against other mages as it allowed the target to regen while frozen in pvp i campaigned for damage over time to be added to it but even that was shot down
Currently freeze costs way to many points to be of any use hence why most mages put the 30 points needed to freeze something of there own level into one damage spell instead and recent changes to energy shield has left a lot of high levels simply going without all together an the old energy shield left most mages with no mana to fight with and left all builds as pure focus which again makes mages op because of focus effecting damage

I've suggested it before make freeze a duration per level instead of 5 levels per point maybe more people would throw the odd freeze out there without completely changing the spell
Going back to old energy shield would just make every mage on every server pure focus
Or a new spell like shield of bark so we can increase our own armour not necceraly used on others

well i dont mean completely frozen only ice spells would keep freeze active any other attack like fire or damage from another class would break freeze meaning u would need to be a full ice mage to really get the benefit. They could also lower the effect to about 15 secs and in pvp nerf it to 5-8 secs.
