Re: Do not delete! - Sigils!

I've said before this game is broken if players are fully dependent on sigils to succeed.
Sigils are there to reduce downtime between fights, not a crutch for boss fights.

It's great that meditate works in combat now, but it's not enough.
The real fix should be to investigate issues with energy regen in combat and energy consumption.
This is right on.
Why should Druids be so dependent on sigs in the first place.

Why do almost all other classes receive a spell that regens either health or energy? Even Rouges got a health skill with update. You would think OTM would have considered a casting class and their need for energy. But because we said nothing, they assumed that our class was doing fine.

This whole sigs thing has actually pointed out a big missing component to the druid class. It is a major weakness.

Simple fix.... Give us the the Energy Boost skill
Thanks for the feedback, this is something that we'll consider.
I was under the impression that you gave the energy boost skill to mages to encourage group leveling. A druid doesn't have the boost skill, so the mages in the group help support the druids, like how the druids support the players that need health. I know I have often been asked for boosts by druids and consider it part of a mage's support role.

Interesting that that wasn't contemplated.

Yes totally. I 4 box and now just leave my Mage doing almost nothing but regen my Druids energy. The Mage weapons are awful so the only way to do offensive damage is to use a lot of energy. So Mage is just a useless regen ammy in a party because the cd on it is so slow you can't overlap buffs much at all. Or the Mage can do good, but only using the buff on himself giving out very little to no energy.

The real reason is Druids/mages auto blows. So they are dependent on energy. Either make some cheaper energy items for them to replace the sigil/meditate nerf or realize that people will be mad they need 1m in lux to make the character playable and not nearly as useful or capable as u3 and below.

The problem is, everyone wants to be DPS.
The game was designed for warriors to tank, druids to heal, rogues to damage, mages to support all classes and rangers to fight from afar and not get hit.

This went well until:

Rangers decided they wanted to match the damage of rogues, so OTM gave in, hence knuckles.
Mages wanted to stop supporting others, so got a boost and became main DPS, so they now don't use energy boost on others that need it.
Druids got bored of just healing, so went attack and now run out of energy.
Warriors, basically can still only tank.
Rogues, basically can still only DPS.

What I'm saying is, the two supporters, mages and druids dont like supporting anymore, hence they keep running out of energy.

Plus we still have no way of telling how much energy other players in the group have. An added energy bar below the health bar would work wonders.

Not really sure everyone want to be dps but people do want to be able to level without the high difficulty of needing a large party every single time they want to level. Dps is the only way to level solo besides one daily quest.

I would be fine with mages support role but as I see it they can energy buff (but only 1.3 ppl really) and .. Hmm .. Can they do anything else? Druids have lots of buffs and heals obviously they are support.

Druids run out of energy just healing now. It's quite bad.

Rangers and rogues I think are ok. Waiting on new skills to see.

Warriors, well taunt/stance/frenzy were nerfed hard. They can't keep agro like before. Guess I'll wait and see on new skills but the other classes better start being able to take more hits now.

My druid is full-heal, but without her sigils yesterday, she was nearly useless at bosses.

That is one way to look at it...
Personally I do not think that class roles are cut and dried. Especially with the new
skills in the update. Mages are very versatile and can be full lures, full fire, ful ice, or any combination or hybrid. Rangers can be a full auto-attack/rapid shot build or a long range attack build. (This is not to say that either of these classes are limited to the builds I have mentioned)There are many builds that can be chosen now. The energy problem still may need some consideration. Players should not have to ever be dependent on sigils. Neither should mages or druids be able to constantly cast skills for an unlimited time without running out of energy. The system need to be balanced. Energy boost helps me, as a mage, a lot. But I still have difficulties with energy. And, mages should always have some difficulty with energy. But, it seems that all classes are having difficulty with energy use, especially druids. I am not sure exactly how this can be balanced. Maybe increase the regular energy regeneration as level increases? Or lower the energy cost of skills? (But OTM has already done this to some extent)

I would keep some points in boost if I was able to see when people needed it.
As it is now I usually get told they are all set after I cast it.

What a great idea!! Or at least a way to toggle between group members health and mana bars.
