Frozen weights 11 pounds less the diamond
Frozen's total weight: 25
Diamonds total weight: 36

Armor:
Frozen has 35 more armor then diamond
Frozen's total armor: 200
Diamonds total armor: 165

Resistance:
Frozen has 70 more resist then diamond
Frozen's total resistance: 420
Diamond total resistance: 350

Independent skills that are specific to diamond or frozen:

Frozen has a total of 31 bonus cold damage while diamond has no damage bonus.

Frozen gives the wearer a +529 in total energy
While diamond gives you a total of +115 to focus or a total bonus of 781 into energy
***so I used a book of rebirth and added 115 to the already 10 points you start out with in focus bringing the total to 125 focus which brings my total mp to 781***

Frozen gives a total 450 bonus to both spell and weakening attack evasion while diamond offers no such bonuses.

The frozen weapon has a health bonus of 60 while diamond does not.

The Diamond wand gives the user +200 fire and ice magic

The frozen weapon has a 3% chance of using a bane to hurt OW bosses.



What are your thoughts on these two armors?
IMO diamond is slightly better granted the extra 35 armor frozen gives is nice but not enough to want to ride with.
The big difference maker for me is the energy that frozen gives compared to the diamonds focus, not only does diamond give you more mp but it also adds to the total focus in your build thus making your spells stronger.
The +450 spell evasion isn't that important to me as any boss that cast a spell never cast a single spell some can cast 3-5 in a row which will easily wipe out any Mage.
My real gripe is for 300k you can buy armor that's basically better then quest armor you've upgraded 3 times!
I've always thought of the game like this: if an ancient wand cost 20k then the warden weapon should cost more (like 40k), same for meteoric (75k) and frozen (125k). So with the price a full set of diamond only costing less then 300k I find it to be a joke. It should easily be 500k for a full set as you can see its clearly better then frozen armor IMO.

Yea. I have been complaining that the Mage Frozen armor and weapon comes with no Focus bonuses. I'm blue in the face from complaining, now I match the full set of Frozen I refuse to use.

I think it's safe to say that OTM will not budge on Frozen armor stats. It has been 3 months and 1 week since they were introduced in the game.
If they were open to changing the stats, they would have done so in the first couple of weeks. They did so with Meteoric armor, and a whole other things the community thought was underpowered.

It is what it is.

Let's just hope the Dragon Armor and weapons will redeem the quest armor line.

I agree, mages could use a lot of improvements, but in my opinion, getting the frozen armor changed is a dead end.

I found a recent post by admin stating that dragon armor js to be an upgrade to frozen. So, keep up the logical arguments for changes. With any luck the input will be valuable to the devs as they stat the dragon armor. I agree that I wouldn't be caught dead, because I would more quickly end up dead, in frozen but get it upgraded anyway so you are ready for dragon when its released.

A completly maxed mage hits harder than any other maxed class. It's just a matter of our damage comming from spells that we have to wait on to recharge while rangers rogues and warriors hit 200's with regular attacks.

well i dont have a mage, but i also think that the idea of giving double focus bonus from diamond instead of 2 stats, is only if u want to be a total dps
its 100+ focus, its almost like master's grimoire (that way u can use the orb insted of master's grimoire)
the frozen for mage and druid r not that good, for warrior and ranger its awesome, the frozen wep for ranger is the strongest frozen wep (95 piercing dmg), and faster, like the warrior's frozen wep is 2800 atk speed and 90 slash dmg, and good bonus to health and energy
for rouge idk if frozen armour is better, i dont know anything about rouge
but wait for the dragon upgrade, always do the warden-met-frozen just in case (not like me, i was stupid, lvl 112 warrior with bloodstrike gloves and thats all )
