Celtic Heroes

I've been evolving EKG (153 Mage) over the last few months. First I was a full fire mage. Then I evolved as I reached boss hunting. I'm currently somewhere in the middle between Ice and Fire. My Ice Magic ability is atrocious (900/1530). I've decided to incorporate ice magic into my attacks to get that ability up. This was an alt so I didn't give abilities much thought until I hit the 150's.

Now EKG is my main. Nothing compares to a mage. As the build evolved I continue to move towards a caster and away from H2H damage.

Current build for boss hunting is something like:

Fire Bolt: 29/35
Cloak: Maxed
Energy Shield: Maxed
Freeze: Enough to freeze up to 105 (Red Bosses)
Fire Lure: 20/35
Ice Lure: 20/35
Ice Shards: 29/35

So I'm still lugging around a Fire Blade for DPS, but as I have evolved into a caster I'm beginning to wonder if I should shift to a Grimoire.

I'm going to run a few tests to see which gets me through bosses quicker. I'll post my results. Oh and I have to say I use health and energy sigils to regen during freezes.

If you get a fire blade i would consider dropping ice shards and lure and replace with incinerate and firestorm(maybe)

I would pick grimiore as it gives bonuses to all of your skills and another question do you have a aggy book or are you getting one if so i would defintly pick the grimiore

no no no everyone thinks using a blade makes you less of a caster. It doesn't. Whether you use a blade or a book, your skill point attribution should be the same.

This is the order of the ranking of mage damage spells. This is based on having proper lures. I will go into how to set proper lures another time, it is complicated. Every mage above lvl 70 I would say should have both ice and fire lure and cloak, bolt, and shards. It doesn't take many points to have proper lures.

1. firecloak

2. fire bolt

3. ice ahards

4. incinerate

5 firestorm.

I like having a fire blade and using hand to hand and bieng a proper optimized caster build.

If you want to buy a book (or honestly even an elemental blade) wait until the update is teleased! Much better
options will be out it seems for both of these items.
