Hello, i'm a lvl 76 mage, i know people generally say mage armor sucks, but i was wondering what armor is best for my lvl and the 80s. I'm currently a hybrid mage if that matters, with max ice shards, fire bolt, and ice blast. I am planing on going full fire when i get firestorm and fire attunement(hint hint trying to buy) also im fairly rich so feel free to include some lux with armor recomendations, thanks for your time. Im on arawan btw. also firestorm.

gear, any focus gear is good, at ur lvl master grim, eng/wizardy crown, try getting diamond and not opal/topaz cane
obsidian is also awesome for fire mages, adds tons of fire magic

My build at 130,

Max fire atune,
max bolt,
max firestorm
max e boost.. (trust me you need it)
15 top in lure.. of fire


Gear i suggest masters grimoire
i use heroic gloves and boots but are not needed
full celestial armor
heroic ammy
both of the 10 regen bracelets
both of the 10 and 5 regen rings

Now keep that stuff till you hit 150 keep saving your gold and by then you prob will have enough for the level 150 lux

Also then you will be getting beastbone gear thats really good.. Those are my biggest suggestions until dragonlord


PS - Optional when you hit 120 get onyx and/or obsidian because its very good for mage

i noticed both of you mentioned masters grim for offhand regen, i have a 500k dragon staff with regen of 40 health and energy, should i still use the grim?

No, staff is fine to use

But the grim adds 100 focus which is somewhat important for a mage. but IDK
