First off grats and thanks everyone.
The time to kill was said to be 22 minutes. We can improve on this and obviously we want to.
There seemed to be some confusion at the beginning with a Ranger pulling adds. I noticed a few Warriors near the mobs before they were drawn. The established 'puller' should be the only one near them until they are brought to us. Then they are to be taunted and killed.
Taunts: The ONLY player who should taunt Mordris is the Main Tank. (Callator) It is vital that he keeps aggro and keeps Mordris facing him.
Priestess: After the Priestess is killed and she Respawns, she is NOT to be touched by anyone other than Group 4. Besides DPS and Lures, this is their main purpose. Fortunately, we had a GREAT group and they overcame the diversity and saved the fight.
Adds: Great job eliminating Sentinels on respawn and thanks to those keeping track of respawn.
Level Requirements: While we put requirements in place for this particular fight it was strictly to get the Best DPS and geared people because the strategy was formed with 4 Groups. After discussing things with people we will probably Form Group 2 with more Rogues over 180. Depending on who is available for the next fight we may try to create a 5th and 6th group. We appreciate all the help from everyone who killed wyrms and trolls. Thank you.
With the completion and understanding of the battle we can hope to need less formal instruction as most should know the plan. This will make it easier to add more groups. Please understand that we werent trying to just exclude people from the fight. We needed to get the strategy put into place.
Drops and Rolling: I will take some blame on this as I didnt really think it through. I was just focused on getting Mordris killed. I apologize for the chaos with drops vs. levels etc. After discussing the issue with a few respectable high level people, we have suggested that a player may not roll A. 1-2 levels above requirement or B. Any level over Requirement. This would need majority agreement.
Skills: I maxed Expose Weakness and should have probably went FULL DPS skills because of my lvl and gear. Support skills should be given to lower levels so as to maximize DPS. Please post your ideas on skills you think were good or not or missing. I know zero Warriors used Shatter or Rupture? (One of them was pointed out by MordrisTank)
Groups: Do the groups need some adjustments? Group 4 seemed perfect but someone suggested that Group 1 only needed 4 druids. Your thoughts?
Spectators: Those of you who are not directly involved in the fight please stay back so everyone can target their mobs and please DO NOT go near Priestess. The killing of wyrms and trolls is encouraged and greatly appreciated.

#2Well done to all for an excellent fight gratz to everyone . Big thankyou for rand and vir for the planning of this and as vir said we will get better and faster and more ppl will be more then welcome to join the fight. On point of druids in my grp will go with five rather then four even tho i had six in grp had luk on the outside as well all doing a fantastic job:) so wouldnt want to go lower then five druids . Well done lugh

#6To start a great big thank you to randell virulent and azz who did a great job of sorting this fight out, well done.
In the fight mages you were great well done you deserved all the drops you got
My only concern was the ammount off times callator lost the aggro, it is really important no one taunts mordy leave the tank to do his job please.
On the drops thing im happy to go with a or b on this but anymore levels away i think is wrong, with any luck we can kill at least once a week, but we do not need level 190 drops sitting on level 185 toons doing nothing the more we get the easier it becomes there for i will vote for A , 5 levels can take anything from 1 month to 6 months to complete why waste the drops.

#7I think it's bs changing the rules all the sudden. If is unfair to people, even if you get a drop you can't use it can be used as an incentive to lvl. And for the lvl req for mordis is ridiculous your changing the #1 rule of 10lvls lugh has never on any bosses

#8The rules werent changed all of a sudden. Read the previous posts. As for the changes with drops, how many lvl 180's can get 5-10 lvls quickly? None. Its also not fair to the people doing all the work to lose a drop that wont potentially be used for a month or so. The 10 lvl rules for bosses isnt automatic for this boss because its different from every other boss in the game. Every other single boss can be killed just by having alot of people, a tank, and a few druids. This one requires strategy and order. Having 50 people randomly run in and fight wont work. Reread the post and see where this is explained and that we are planning to add groups. This specific battle was designed a certain way so that it would succeed. Some other proposed rules including drops are still being discussed. But it is completely unfair to higher lvls to lose drops to someone who cant or wont be able to use. The incentive should be to get your lvl up and meet req for the drops not getting the drops first. Btw: early talk is that Necro may have lvl 190 requirements. Theres more incentive.

#9Mordris is a boss that requires a strategy, that strategy is key to killing her. You cannot throw 40 level 180's at her and win. Remember our first two attempts?
The level of 185 DPS is purely for tactical reasons … a 180 DPS cannot cut it. Now we can incorperate 180-184 as a group for the trolls and wyverns, but quite frankly
what comments on plan did any make stating that? What comments did any person under level 185 make saying "We testing this and found that" … there were none. What comments were made on the plan that was posted well in advance?
I can speak for myself and a few others when I say "We need to be thinking of Necromancer".
In order to beat this boss our server needs to be prepared .. i.e. DL off hands, Mordris drops (EQUIPPED!). Some say OH! your changing the rules … no, this boss is so different from others so that she deserves her own set of rules … as does Necro. Some may say OH! I need to role for a chance at a drop that i cannot use except to sell or put in my bag to collect cyber dust (think gollumm my precious) … i say maybe you play for different reasons than others, I play to have fun and to beat the snot outta Mordris and necro and any other challange that OTM throws our way. Each boss presents its own challenges and rewards, as they raise in difficulty the rewards are greater and level specific. As such it only make sense that in order for our server to stand a chance at making Mordris an Aggy type routine, we need to address certain issues as dicing level requirement. If people need incentive to level and to fight these two current endgame bosses, let the drop level reqiurement be that incentive.
Honestly I would love to see a Mordris attack consiting of all 184 and below… ever wonder why that has yet to happen? We all need to work together to achieve a smooth Mordris takedown every time, first time is done … second WILL be tougher unless we concetrate on tactics and executing them correctly.
Would love to here any ones thoughts …

#10Talking about drops lvl req for drops sounds good still need to get everyone to agree.. @ "some say OH! i need to roll for a chance at a drop that i cannot cannot use except to sell or put it in my bag" so why are druids and mage rolling for an armour ring and dps ring is it to keep it i the bag or sell
this is why we have clan to give them or Len until we reach the req.
Rogues 180-184 can be helpful ex. High lvl rogues would not need to use expose weakness and smokebomb or poison weapon lower can use all this and still kill adds so that 185 + can focus on damaging mordris.
Rangers 180-184 can use ectangle sharpen weapon and bolas so high lvls wont have to and can go full dps skill.
Warriors 180-184 can easily have 37 shieldbash and some can max shatter 50/50
