i really enjoy the shadow armor for 3 reasons…
1. it gives more energy than most armors
2. it provides skill evasion boosts which can be helpful
3. it provides focus which increases skill dmg.

however, I've started to get warden armor recently, and it gives more armor and element resists, at the cost of no focus but a small energy buff. but while the warden provides a lot of small buffs, it requires camping bosses, or purchase of disk frags, while the shadow armor is free.
considering im a lv 72 fire mage, which would be better?

shadow armour is easier to get, but for surviving i cant argue on that that questline is better

shadow is a get free armour, i myself dont use warden or met i prefer focus gear (altough i cant get any)

Each will have their own benefits tbh, Spiritshadow would give less armor and 75 focus, but mages already have **** armor...

If you are going to lvl solo you will really need some armour and resists but with a group where there is a tank/druid you can use the focus bones good and the evasions
The bad thing is it takes several days to get, no matter what you do

and about the armor, my brother is a level grindeing atm, getting both armor sets, but he seems to like the focus for soloing more than the questline armorset atm

Dont listen to mylittle, hes a noob that dont know anything... And frozen is better then spirit shadow, so when u can get frozen, get that, not spritishadow... Mylittle, y dont u leave the forumns, u give false builds and skills to use on classes, and u just told a person a sucky way to switch out their armour... Like seriously? Y switch out warden, they give better bonuses with full set then the shadow armour...
