Celtic Heroes Superstitions - A Confession Thread

#1
I have developed some slightly embarrassing superstitions during my celtic heroes career.

I guess these are the same types of things as basketball players all slapping a particular poster before the game, or people knocking on wood to prevent something bad from happening.

For instance, when a lower level player, one time i was looking at my quest list and tapped on the Hawkhurst Chest quest while attacking one of the hawkhurst smugglers. A hawkhurst chest happened to drop, :o so I started doing that from time to time while killing hawkhurst mobs. I could have sworn the hawkhurst chest drop rate increased when i did that occasionally. :?

When killing trolls (one of my favorite pastimes), sometimes i hit a stretch where nothing good ever seems to drop. :( When this happens I log out for a few seconds and then log back in. I have sortof convinced myself that this helps somehow, even though it definitley doesnt always improve the quality or frequency of drops. This weird superstition started when as a low lev, I noticed (whether accurate or not) that it seemed like the first mob you kill after logging in gives a decent drop more often than not.

I have a few other quirks like this that kindof developed out of my experiences. I know these weird little rituals couldnt have any real impact on the randomness of the game, but I still find myself doing them from time to time.

Anyone else have some CH superstitions they are willing to share (confess)?

Let's see...

Opening chests on a low level character with no Armour or fashion in the tavern area next to where the dancing bard used to be yields the best drops.

Dancing before rolling the dice yields a higher value.

Activating the "sad" emote before rolling dice yeilds a lower value.

Not saying "Gj" (or similar) before the boss is dead yeilds a better loot drop.

Dry leveling in a stretch where someone else is using an Elixer in (even when you were first) is bad mojo for the next time you use an elixer.

Twirling your fingers a bit before accepting or requesting a trade gives you good luck during the trade.

And many more...

Thank you for sharing! Definitely adding these to my superstition repertoire.

1. moving from leystone to leystone while opening chests, I found that castle courtyard, fingals camp, lirs temple and carrowmore encampment (for the first few chests) had decent drops, after that I got sigils, so i moved to a different ley  (I still do this)

2. standing right beside the spawn point of a mob postpones the spawn time, the farther away you stand, the closer to the minimum spawn time you get

before opening a chest i wait like a minute when its on the screen after you click use.
Ill equip my christmas hat from 2011 when doing yule event quests.
Ill run around in a circle twice before i start farming for rings or gold. (for some reason I always get a good drop then go on a dry streak after doing this.)
