Re: Advices on King Frostbelly

Last patch Lord Frostbelly changed to Icefist..
Nope, the 2 possible spawns are either the Lord or the King, just like the big connachts that can be either level 70 or level 80.

Edit : You probably meant to say that Lord Icefist changed to King Frostbelly ;)

Here is my proof:

This :
(yes my bad it was not the King)
But it would just have taken more potions and time... Spamming the potion button isn't very hard you know, and I had 2500 vitality to take some damage.

Heres how to do it.
First of all the guardians have a wider aggro range which is reduced by what level you are. So at 95 I can pull the king up the hill but if a level 50 trires to help me then he will get attacked.

Don't instantly cast heal on the warrior that runs in, your heals act as taunts and they will come for you. Buff the tank ahead of time, and hopefully he will have a potion or two to live until he casts taunt on all the guardians. A better situation is having a second tank there just to taunt and kill guardians. Once they are killed you can move the king up the hill and toward the beach area side.

The weapon the king holds is the one that will be dropped when you kill him. Some kings are harder than others! The one with the scepter is real nasty. He has hit me for 2500 before. A minimum of 2 or 3 healers for this one just to keep tank alive.

As with all bosses the more people the better chance of interrupting his abilities.
Good luck!

Err.. Hello, currently on Gwydion the King has never been defeated (except yesterday, when I soloed it with 200 duped heal pots..)

I saw some people saying that they could just draw the King away from the spawns, but when we did some tests, we noticed that the spawn's aggro-zone is way larger then the King's one...

So, yeah, it would be cool to have some tips on how to kill him (mostly on how and where to draw him), so that we can also defeat that big blue king :)

Many thanks.
200 duped heal pots!!!??? Wow I guess u spent a lot on this game. Just group with another one n that would cut ur pots in half. lol..

I can confirm this. I thought the AI was just programmed to hate druids, and to be honest, its not a bad idea.
Once they are killed you can move the king up the hill and toward the beach area side.
Suicide charge is a good opening move.
The one with the scepter is real nasty. He has hit me for 2500 before.
Wow. I got hit for 1900 by him and I thought that was a big hit.

We tend to have two or three. One just isn't enough.

Serenity on Arawn has defeated the giant many times now. The best strategy is to lure him away from his friends. Up the hill works to a point but if you go too far up should you loose aggo such as if you tank dies, he will run back and reset. You can lure him down to the beach a little past the rock or down the hill to the other side and he will be far away enough from his friends so they won't attack. Unless that is someone comes along and tries to "help" and inadvertantly draws them over. Or someone draws them over on purpose out of spite.

Once you get him away from his friends it is just a matter of time and dps. Even with a well oiled machine of level 80+ characters it still takes the better part of an hour. I bolas initialy but once we get engaged I don't bother to keep it up as he will stay in place and keep hitting the tank. You can interrupt him easy enough and it just becomes a waiting game.

Good luck.

Hello, thanks to all for your help.

One hour ago, we killed the first King Frostbelly of Gwydion!

We didn't have an optimized team; a tank and a druid (both controlled by myself) and a few DPS dealers.
I used not less then 200 health potions, but atleast he has been slain once, and we learned how he can be killed!

(a lot of low levels came to watch and added their DPS :) )

You can "push" him up the hill. Basically what you do is go behind him so his back is facing the camp, opposite of the green present and begin to step forward a bit until he moves back, do this little by little, and he will be pretty far back. Keep the tank there, and everyone else on the other side where his back his. Just have people, not tank or druids, get the spawns. With a decent tank, 2-3 druids or less if you have pots, and average handful of guys who can get the spawns, it should be a breeze unless he's constantly spamming finishing blow and giant swing like he does on me....-.-
