To each his own, it's been tested , I would recomend you test it yourself to see , but what do I know I'm a noob.

It all depends on the mob. For example, dragons are weakest against ice meaning that the ice quiver would do more damage on them rather than a fire or magic. If a mage were to cast lure of ice on the dragon it would lower the dragons resistance to cold damage making the ice quiver even more effective against it. So choosing the right quiver is a much bigger decision than picking the one that looks the best.

My ranger is currently lvl 84 and I have a golden quiver of fire and was wondering if I should trade for a ice or magic thanks!

Most have Ice Quivers. And DONT hear me out. I dont know much about Rangers. But I would use the Fire Quiver until you start fighting deeper in the OtherWorld where the fire starts. Ice will help out a lot more than fire when you get there.

i chose to go with magic. mostly because fire would be useless deep in OW. but also, i figured lots of others were choosing ice weps, so i figured when in groups i would be throwing a different type of damage and so far that seems to be working well.

Finally, i figured when winter comes and new mobs show up, they will be cold based and everyone will be scrambling for fire quivers i figure mine will work well regardless.

I roll all magic seems to work great for me. The other ranger in my clan and the rouges all roll with ice weapons so a little diffrent style of damage never hurts and I seem to pick up my fair share of kills on boss fight and xp grinding groups so I am happy.
