No str over 300? I mean yeah u get very little added damage but I get 3 damage per 5 points into str. It sounds so little but in the last 3 lvls I have seriously seen an improvement in my damage. I am 137 now and I lvl by horses and im doing 300-550 dmg per shot. My dmg is 879. I would love to add the lvl 140 dragon 40/40 necklace but I need the heroic ammy for energy. I find without it I'm list on energy.

So I went on a ramble lol. What's a good ranger build then more dex or more str past 300? I see the upside in dex with better steady aim, sharp and light heal but I tend to find the raw str dmg over steady aim is better. Very hard to tell. Maybe the def addition also helps more from dex.

Guess it comes down to what build u want. More str or more skill based. I'm looking forth str per shot bc I tend to lvl solo. My elixers go longer ways in xp gains when I lvl alone.

hey eliminater- i am currently a str ranger- (416str 26(101)dex 10foc 113vit), and am planning to change to dex build soon. my foc and dex will stay the same. what is good str/dex ratio? how little str can i get away with and still do good damage? thanks!

Nighthawk for dex i would go 300 dex first and before adding points for other things see how your skills look. With 25/25 sharp shot and over 400 dex my dmg for sharp was like 950, vs 550 dmg on stats page for auto dmg. I would be interested to see numbers on skills for 300 dex

I reset this Ranger's stats with 300 Dex ... Increased Vit and rest in strength.

Is 300-225(300 with lux quiver)-15-rest in vit for a lv 150 something I should aim for?

Strength builds are okay if you are using knuckle blades and a sword based offhand. That's usually how rangers get the kill on Aggragoth because they never miss and hit just as hard as a rouge.

really? i have 369 str, if it's useless then someone should kind of help me on a build then because im really all dps and no need forr pots becase i train with my druid outside of group with others so i'd rather have a dps build

At my point now I prefer a very balanced build with the additional dex coming from gear. When leveling up I always preferred extra dex but it's really a matter of preference . I leveled with bolas but not the traditional bolas run shoot bolas run shoot. I preferred toe to toe with spikes and bolas up on mob for heals or spikes or whatever other skill I wanted to cast , I simply stepped away from the mob and cast any needed spells , then went back at it.

I tried countless builds before and after 150 , after 150 with 750+ points available to me I like to split str and dex dump the rest in vit but to be fair I have rad helm for an additional 500 hp:mp and it makes life alot easier and allows me to keep my vit around 175 or so and no need for focus .

At lower levels I always preferred to have more dex than str basically a 3:2 ratio or there a bouts also considering gear bonuses. But in the end the nicest thing about ranger is our flexibility so no build is wrong per say, I never found myself going with 600 hp like I know some rangers do , I always felt helpless with low hp .

On morrigan in my clan we have a bunch of high level rangers each of us has very different builds but all are effective .
