Re: Ranger tips for only two stats
#11Hey Napol can you please tell me a good pvp build going against a rogue aprox 5-10 lvls higher? I'm a total noob at pvp
Vitality is king in pvp. My suggestion is pumping dex and vitality. Have enough dex to avoid a good amount of defense and have good heals. And have enough vitality to take hits while your casting bolas or entangle on them. Bolas and light heal will be your dominant pvp skills. My pvp build usually runs 4-5k health 25 focus and rest the rest into dex. Hope this helps some.Hey chels your talking about pvp fighting. I have no idea good pvp stats I only pvp to kill roguerampage lol. Any pvp rangers out there have a good build for 140+ pvp against another 140+?
Well although I dont know your level I can give you a distribution of points system. I was at the time 0.3.0.2 as how I distributed all of my points. that said, a good more balanced build would be more like 1.2.0.2 (as long as you have 10 focus as a base and plenty of rejuv- I think 40 should be totally sufficient, maybe even less). Stop adding strength after 100 strength is reached and continue going 0.3.0.2 for the rest. Once you get about 300ish dex everyone is going to have a very hard time successfully auto attacking you (personally I just laugh and laugh when people doHey Napol can you please tell me a good pvp build going against a rogue aprox 5-10 lvls higher? To be honest the 100 strength or so is fantastic ( in my opinion, but then again if I hit 140 (auto) on an eye I was extrememly happy so up to you.). I dont know your play style, but I just tank stuff and if it doesnt work out i die (aka those fearsome deepcallersWell I kill warriors a lot, mostly Kyanos so imma keep bolas. Won't this effect me in training also? I like ma auto too. :s
Ummm... Unless im facing a dex built ranger (someone who has over 200 dex at the least) I dodge extremely well. I only have 1.5k health atm, working on getting 1.6k soon though. Sharp is used all the time by me to cut out animation time when I could be getting more dps, and also in other instances. good mages... what do you call a good mage? My light heal does 347 atm, my sharp does pretty much a bottom minimum of that, normally I get at least 500-600+ a sharp especially on a mage.Ive tested both dex and str builds in pvp. There isnt too much of a difference unless your bow ability isnt maxed. The attack from your ability should be sufficient enough to get through the defense from a dex built ranger. That being said, against other rangers, higher vit usually wins. In my opinion, sharp shot takes too long in pvp. 1-4 sharp shots on a energy shield to break it seems kind of a long time when good mages can nuke you in 5 seconds. Most of the fights that ive been in have lasted like 20 seconds max (the exceptions are warriors).
Don't get me wrong, wasnt bashing dex rangers. I was just saying that dex and str builds are roughly equal in pvp. The deciding factor is vitality. From my pvp experience against other people, there is very little time to cast 1 light heal let alone 2-4. If a mage allows you to cast 2-4 light heal during a duel, theyre probably doing something wrong. Again not saying anyone is wrong here, this is all from what ive experienced.
The best way to win pvp a lot is to have about 350 vitality.Hey chels your talking about pvp fighting. I have no idea good pvp stats I only pvp to kill roguerampage lol. Any pvp rangers out there have a good build for 140+ pvp against another 140+?
