I don't see the reason for the Druids being quite as aggressive on these threads , Druids definitly have their own issues and certainly mana is the main concern, but I see no reason why Druids secondary roll should be better than rangers. I have no desire to see Druids nerfed , Druid dps is not cost effective and IMO not worth the hassle, but it's a fact that Druids dps is better than ranger dps and I think by a fairly wide margin. I don't want Druid nerfed just make ranger best at something , and if not even best make us frigen good at something at the very least.

I think most Druids who read these recent threads by the OP and those like him/her feel that we are being attacked by Rangers. Another poster aptly stated "leave us out of this," and I agree.

If Rangers are having issues, fine. I sympathize. I would love nothing more than you to get some OTM love. But it has nothing to do with Druids. The fact that a player can create a Druid machine is one thing. Using that very very small fraction of the Druid population as a "benchmark," as it has been called, is preposterous.

The truly full out DPS Druids are few and far between. Sure, they might be able to out DPS a Ranger, but it comes with great sacrifice. I agree with you. It is very cost ineffective, and I don't do it. I am a standard DPS leaning Hybrid Druid, and I never get the kill over a standard Ranger.

The thing is, though, Druids have gone patch after patch, update after update with very little. Many of us feel that (even with the massive Energy problems) the class is coming closer to being balanced and desirable. Many of us can now (finally) create builds that are helpful in clan, and are still able to defeat a gladiator on our own. That has nothing to do with any other class.

Some like yourself, Eli, have thankfully said that you are not asking for a Druid nerf, just a Ranger buff. I would like to second that sentiment. Truthfully, though, that statement should never have had to be made. There was no reason to drag Druids into it in the first place.

The argument made should have compared the very well balanced Ranger of Update 3 to the crippled Ranger of Update 4.

What I really cant stand about these posts is that ppl kept commenting druids dps is much better than rangers dps. Yes it may be a fact but duh! What do you rangers expect when your auto attack is broken? If you are missing 80% of the time of auto attacks, ofc rangers are losing out to druids? Rangers have always been known for their auto attacks + support auto attack skills (Steady Aim, Rapid shot) rather than their damage skills, take this away from rangers what do you expect? Its broken but what has that got to do with druids? that's another fact!

Is it druids fault for mobs defense to be insanely high on this update which causes great grief for rangers to lose boss kills? No, its OTM's fault
Is it druids fault for rangers requirement to focus on 2-3 stats to be not as effective for casters who can focus on 2 stats? No, its OTM's fault

If Rangers auto attack is fixed but yet still lose to Druids, ok fine perhaps we can have a real debate. But as of now, rangers are broken, yes OTM needs to fix it. but its nothing to do with Druids, God Damn it!

OTM, there are 150 comments on rangers post. They are obviously upset and rightfully so. I don't understand why you lot are not doing anything about it as it has caused great grief among rangers. So much grief until they are now attack other classes. Jeez, can you please cut druids a break and fix auto attack please. It is BLOODY RIDICULOUS to still MISS 80% of the time with 4K attack / 500 DEX + FULL Lv Smoke bomb. What are you guys thinking?

You guys are silly lol... To the OP here is my answer.....

I would rather play as a ranger. Here's why - It is hard for me to get people to group me so I find myself soloing most of my levels. I even soloed at caves most of my levels 141-150. Now could a druid do that? Maybe... But here is the difference in update 4....

I made a new druid update 4 and it is way easier to solo levels up till underworld. After that it is very difficult. Now when I say solo, I mean pop a elix and train hard for 15 min. Before, on my old druid, I could embrace, wind, vine, and just sit back using lighting and touch until the mob died. Easy killing. But now without sils, the recovery time for energy sucks so bad that it is now impossible to effectively elix and train. Druid got a much needed boost in damage but the energy issue keeps that in balance. The same thing with mages.This is good by OTM because maybe people won't get discouraged when playing a druid at low levels. Now put that mage or druid in a group and sure, they will beat out rangers and rogue because the energy issue can be overcome.

Now with rangers, I can solo boggans using a elix and only need to use a RES pot on a 3 or 4 star. My light heal does 987, and I feel I can solo very efficiently at a rate of almost what a group would give me. I love the new skills. I wish I had more stat points, but at least now every ranger won't be the same. Sure its not 4k iceblast but I feel like coming from soloing at caves to boggans that I am a happy ranger.

Now you put me in a group and I suck. A 4 person group and the mobs die so fast that I may get a long shot and barbed shot in with two autos and its dead. The mages rule in training groups and druids rule in boss groups. But as I said before, I fund it extremely difficult for people to group me so I solo alot. With regards to update 4, I am a happy ranger.
