Re: Cost of the average raid

This is a common theme in many mmorpg. If they hand out loot too fast, with little other content, people quit as there is nothing to do. If nothing drops almost every time and only good items once and awhile then people also tend to quit. So mmorpg, especially those with little parallel content tend to have crap drops 95% of the time and 5% decent or better drops. Some even let you pick from total crap or a ridiculously tiny chance at something good.

I blame typical human psychology.
Another way of seeing things.

If you're going to give extremely low drop rates to void/godly items because you have a lack of resources/employees, then at least fix things like drops that no one will ever use. It's totally illogical, begs the question that OTM staff don't regularly play this game in end game, or strive to meet the needs of their employees.

Remove spring of life, and armour/resist rings from Hrung. Nobody uses any of these in Gwydion, probably the same on other servers. Don't let me get started on some of the mord bracelets.

Another way of seeing things:
Buff spring of life by removing the wait for one tick at low hp, and have it cancel idol lock
Buff the armor rings by modifying existing rings to have 5x the armor

People might actually use them then.

The reason ppl's sight here is pessimistic and not optimistic is because OTM has disappointed us so many times before that we stop believing they'll change something for better (SoL, armour rings) and just choose to remove it at once as its more likely.

The true cost of average raid is not the restos and lixes and idols but the opportunity cost of spending the time doing the raid. If you are a top brain surgeon charging 4000 bucks an hour, a 15 min raid costs you 1000 bucks. But then again, I don't think any top brain surgeon with a brain would be spending time playing CH.

Imo they should do an Double Plat and 50% off sale, and see how many ppl will buy plat it would be crazy

Tetraplat sale wouldn't happen whatsoever, as much as it'd be awesome.
