Muldar has stated that OTM is "moving away from the Seasonal Content model". I'm not totally sure if this means that from here on out OTM will only release permanent content in quarterly updates, or if for this specific (Beltane) Event they will not hold a Seasonal Event.
In my own opinion I'll miss the Seasonal Events- to an extent. I won't miss them dragging on for too long and I won't miss the usually copy-pasted bosses. But I will miss the feeling. The Snow during Yule, and the feeling of the seasons within the game. I'm actually very pleased that OTM has listened to us as players and focused on permanent content though, and an eager to see how they handle it.
How about you guys? Would you rather have OTM completely do away with Seasonal Content, or perhaps switch back and forth between Seasons and Permanent Content? Feel free to comment your thoughts on the topic.

#2I would like to see the darkness of shamain and the snow of yule. If they continue to add bosses there will be more than 136 bosses and that would be awesomeMuldar has stated that OTM is "moving away from the Seasonal Content model". #3I totally love the Samhain scenery of last year. It was by far the most beautiful graphic art work I've ever seen in a game! If we don't get to see that again I will be very sad. I also love winter, but wasn't as thrilled with the most recent Yule scenery.
I do think it is nice to have actual celtic "seasons" acknowledged.

#4There will still be "Seasonal" changes in terms of the environment.
We are more just focussing on content updates that will be permanently in the game.

Environment chanes really bring home the whole "Seasonal" feeling, so I'm glad to see they're staying!
Re: Seasonal and Permanent Content
#6I do not think moving away from seasonal content means moving away from seasonal content.
I think it means that they will heavily cut down the recources they put into creating this content. Maps are there and therefore can be reused and make it's return in spring, summer, halloween and winter. They can decide to have some permanent returning event quest that only make a return in the specific time of the year.
I think It's a case of the amount of time and pressure they have put in all the past events to re think and recreate content that they will discontinue . This content will be out of order right after their event has passed and new items, quest had to be created for the next event.
There are other ways of creating events in games and ch from the start went and took the hard path by creating new and better items each event whil evading permanent content.
Edit:
Answer was already given, was to fast writing a reply right after reading the first post

Re: Seasonal and Permanent Content
#8Sometimes they do. Spring 2016 (current event) is part permanent (pets & tokens etc.) and part temporary (event bosses etc.)Why doesnt otm do both...
Not to mention some previous event bosses are kept as rare spawns (not counting legacy bosses). Ymir, for example, spawns every now and then.
LordyIsBack - Lvl 121+ Warrior
Clan Prophecy (World Danu)
I'm taking a break from CH until the next questline is released. Possibly this next beta.

#10those bosses are considered event bosses for ios, these new legacy bosses and ymir ect, are not event bosses for us although spider monlith, only emberdrake are old event bosses but Android never had those old bosses as an event so we just consider them rareSometimes they do.
