Re: What type of damage do ow mobs do

Eyes I think do piercing hence piercing gaze
Trees might do crush (crush resistance bracelet seems to help) could be slash though
Kelpies I guess do crush by the horns

I dont know anymore. Please add to the list and correct me if I'm wrong
I wonder what type of damage golems do. Maybe pierce?

I'd guess that golems do crushing damage since my Ward of Giants spell seems to reduce their damage. And once you get to the grimwalls and magmadons, their special attacks do fire damage. Wards of Giants and Fire are standard buffs when I'm training in those zones.

Otherworld Ghosts do slashing damage, so Ward of Soldiers helps.

I was being saracastic. It's almost common sense to assume it's crush damage
And I am level 137 as of this comment, so I have already been through all that ;)

Sometimes it's hard to identify sarcasm, even with emoticons. And given some of the conversations on these forums, I'd be really hesitant to assume that common sense is any more common than dragon frags.

So far it seems to me:

Mob: Types of DMG in both respective Melee/Skills (if you see Pierce/Ice it means AutoAttack is Pierce & Skills are Ice)
Eyes: Pierce/Pierce
Trees: Crush/Magic
Kelpies: Crush/Magic (I thought It was maybe Crush/Ice bc of Deluge but it seems it's Magic.)
Wraiths: Slash/Magic
Golems: Crush/Crush
Grimwall & Higher Golems: Crush/Fire
Bloodstone Mobs: Relative to their chosen profession and weapon (Fire, Pierce, Slash mostly)
Lava Manes: Pierce/Fire (even though they dont have horns they seem to use same attack type as SV Uni's)
Wyverns: Slash/Fire
Cultists: again depends but it seems like mostly Fire, Pierce and Slash like Bloodstones.

I am not 100% certain on this, it seems to me from using my wards that these are the wards that work best. Bosses follow same pattern of the mob they ascend from. Some bosses use skills from both their Melee and their skill ability, like Dominator for instance...its like Pyrus in Crush/Fire, but it also tosses boulders and spits fire, so skills are both crush/fire..but I didn't feel like I needed to be THAT painstakingly clear.

All-Seeing, All Knowing, (Bulbous, Gribbles & Pollyx) are Pierce/Pierce
Swamplord : Crush/ Magic
Woodcrown(Larch & Bramble) are Crush/Magic,
Chained (Shrouded & Scion) are Slash/Magic
Grommack(Rockalanche) are Crush/Crush,
Pyrus(Dominator) are Crush/Fire
Dragons, both black and green are Slash/Fire but to resist the Tearing Claws you need a tremendously high Abundance cast on you, that is only way to negate that Dragon ability. Both 25/25 and 30/30 abundance makes you immune to Tearing Claws, but not sure the exact cut off of Abundance skill you need.

Best Build is a 30/30 in Thinking for yerself ;)

My level 84 Druid cast 7/20 abundance on our tank vs lvl 140 Ythair Sunscale for full resist of his tearing claws.
